gngzack Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 @onewillowsilk You shouldn't be combining the Buzz Angle reports of previous years with the Rolling Stone reports for 2020 onwards. Rolling Stone streaming chart doesn't include video streams and collaborations while the Buzz Angle reports for previous years did include video streams.

I used the BuzzAngle reports from 2016-2019 because those were the only detailed reports I could find on the most streamed acts of every year. BuzzAngle didn't publish a report for 2020, which is why I referred to the Rolling Stone Artist 500 report for that year and what does it matter anyways? Most artists pull very little YouTube streams from the US these days and YouTube/Vevo publishes their most streamed videos/artists of the year so you can refer to that if you care so much about video streams. Audio streams remain the most dominant way people listen to music and the Rolling Stone Artist 500 accounts for that. I don't see what the problem is.

onewillowsilk Posted April 26, 2021 Author Posted April 26, 2021 1 hour ago, Yuanyu said: Thanks!! It would be interesting to know video streams numbers, butt I understand that thios info is not available It used to be available in the Nielsen Year-End music report but they ended that in 2019. The Rolling Stone Artist 500 Chart is the next best thing available and since most of the streams artists pull in the US are audio streams anyways, it works. There's also access to 500 artists weekly so that's way more data on acts that weren't available before.

This is the rest of the top 20 as of this week: 11. Justin Bieber - 1,051.9B 12. Eminem - 950.3M 13. Post Malone - 890.5M 14. Bad Bunny - 868.6M 15. Lil Uzi Vert - 806.8M 16. Luke Combs - 785.7M 17. Kanye West - 745.8M 18. DaBaby - 736.2M 19. Billie Eilish - 666.4M 20. Megan Thee Stallion - 652.9M 21. XXXTENTACION - 648.2M Juice WRLD, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Lil Baby and Lil Durk should surpass Morgan Wallen before the end of the year. Billie Eilish, DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert and Post Malone should also surpass him before the end of year. Justin Bieber should manage the same with some new singles or a new project and Kanye West/Bad Bunny should do the same if they release albums this year. Some other wildcards like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole should also surpass him if they release albums soon enough. I doubt he'll be in the top 10 by the end of the year.
