MHLN better debut with 15M streams after the amount of times I've played it today.

ok so here's my first impression

I think the album generally is good and the selling point to me here is her lyrics - they are very direct and personal. Vocally she also sounds amazing. However, I feel that sonically it's just not very inventive and 19 tracks is really a lot. She could've easily made Anyone, ICU, Easy, My Girlfriends and some others bonus tracks like Ellie did with her Brightest Blue/Ego album. I get that this album is more like a therapy session for her, just to share her experiences, and I can respect that but shereally could've used something more interesting sonically like it was with TMYLM.

I feel there's a decent fleshed out project somewhere in here that just needed some extra faceting.

The Kind of Lover I Am is growing so much on me - it’s a guilty pleasure!!!

My Girlfriends are my Boyfriend better be a single at some point. That and Met Him Last Night could do wonders for the album. I get why she wanted to release Anyone and Dancing with the Devil and they are outstanding songs, but MGAMB and MHLN are the most mainstream here and they are also quality songs that she should push. If she wants a deeper cut, I feel like The Way You Don’t Look at Me or Easy could be like a Stone Cold where it will have longevity and be a staple.

California Sober is my favorite for now. Damn it’s so good. Followed by TWYDLAM and The Art of Starting Over.

ICU is also really good, makes me really teary. Carefully is also a standout, I love how it kinda resembles HWGA a bit. Oh, Lonely People too, what a bop.

Okay I am all over the place because I named almost all songs :deadbanana4:

Bloodflowers.

this was Demi's seventh album, just like Ray of Light was Madonna's seventh album. Coincidence? I think not!

this album will save so many lives, particularly of people who struggle with depression and suicide as well as people who dislike themselves and people who were addicts of some sorts and are overcoming those habits, very beautiful and strong album :clap3:

teas :oh:. Creative queens

(and actually, that headline is WRONG. "All That Matters" was a copy of Bre's "You're All That Matters")

I just went to target to buy the album and they didn’t even have it out. They had no idea what I was talking about.... they had to go to the back to get me one and bring the rest out. :rip:

To those who understand - is it enough just to to put vpn if I want to loop-play the album all night on Spotify?

Or do I have to change my account's location?

That’s the hit of the album. The hook unintentionally gets stuck in your head
