GreatestLoveofAll
Lover for sure. You'd think the album crashed and burned ala Witness the way the were talking about it here when its success was admirable at worst. It's only fault was that she wasnt able to tour with it and then she dropped two far more acclaimed and talked about milestone albums back to back less than a year later so its gonna be an era/album thats obscured in year to come when looking over Taylor's career. PopThatCorn
ARTPOP was a flop but it really didn’t do that bad considering everything that happened during 2013. Being a fan during that time was stressful cause the amount of hate she got. Applause however was a HIT which people only erase now because the album and subsequent singles bombed. It spent 14 consecutive weeks in the Top 10. Also did great on radio, they couldn’t even move onto the next single when they wanted cause Applause was still slaying.

That doesn't change my point, which isn't about the number of copies sold, but the number of countries it's certified in. And I wasn't even talking about Lover to start with, I just threw it in there to compare.

It was a colossal failure It didn't even chart for 20 weeks in the US, and is certified Platinum in zero markets and after the SUPER BOWL. Filthy was also not a hit. It charted for 6 weeks Say Something was a cute hit WW, but the album itself was a gigantic bomb Edited Tuesday at 03:40 PM by hellocory

Imagine believing FF was bigger than LEMONADE Also, No matter how hard you try, ARTPOP did average, not the flop OGHs want you to believe. 2.5M and 2 hits isn't the biggest failure ever
Revenge
34 minutes ago, Aram said: From last year, Rare and Chromatica actually did well. Rare is certified in 3 countries despite having great peaks worldwide and a re-release... I don’t think Rare did well at all minus it’s debut week. like having the top 10 peaks all around the world is an amazing achievement but if the longevity isn’t there then that’s all it is. And the album served none clearly. - Chromatica done well for Gagas standards after Joanne, if we’re counting ASIB then it bombed completely but if we’re going from studio albums it’s pretty much on the same level as Joanne So it wasn’t an underperformance by any means. It was a flop and a big drop off for her standards, but overall it was in the top 40 best selling albums of 2011 ww. certified at least Gold in 15 countries, 1.7M pure, 10M digital singles, probably Platinum-eligible in the US, and has over 480M on Spotify and 1B on YouTube Edited Tuesday at 04:34 PM by ProudLBS
