Yes that's right - and for example in France, Witness is gold and has a platinum hit and two gold hits. Artpop is platinum and has a gold and platinum hit. Probably the same story in Italy... That isn't easy to get in those markets but the success is down played

I don’t know about “MOTS” (although it’s currently outstreaming albums such as “Stripped” and “J.Lo”. ) but “AGLM” sold 4M pure copies WW/~7M album equivalents and had three top ten Hot 100 hits. She was also the “Female Artist of the Year: 2006” according to BB; #4 overall behind Chris Brown/Nickelback/Rascal Flatts.

John Slayne Posted yesterday at 02:34 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:34 PM ARTPOP - certified in 14 countries. People mostly say it flopped because it did worse than Prism, which was released at the same time, and also because the era was messy (media backlash, Gaga losing most of her team including manager, the DWUW music video mess, the era ending few months after release, etc.). I mean compared to her previous projects the reception was definitely underwhelming, but it was not a Bionic-size flop.

This revisionist history needs to stop This. Being a Little Monster (like I was) in 2013-2014 was tough. There was really the feeling that she was delivering the new scripture. That it will be the album of the century. As a Liddo, I was led into believing that everyone had their eyes set out for Ga. Like many monsters, I believed ARTPOP would change the course of pop music. But yeah, none of that happened, and that album truly was a flop and the beginning of ha first downfall.
