great duo, i wanted them to work with gaga but oh well. RAM is an amazing way to end career :clap3:other washed up legends should take notes

Their work with Gaga would have been underwhelming. She has a talent of getting the worst out of her producers nowadays (see Chromatica)

I really admire their restraint in not overexposing themselves after RAM. They could've easily done a bunch of follow up singles and a new album with a lot of high profile guest stars and milked it but they were very selective about what they did. I feel like they were on the brink of losing their 'cool' factor after that era, where they went from electronic underdogs to world-conquering pop stars, but they retained that special aura in part I think because they never went overboard.

This makes me sad but I’m also not surprised. I thought it was odd they had not only not released an album in 7.5 years and counting, but there were no signs of another album even happening.

 

They certainly ended their career on a high note w/ Get Lucky, Random Access Memories as a whole, Yeezus, & Starboy contributions. They’re going down as big legends

If they announced a final project it'd be gimmicky. This way they make sure they're serious.
