don't get your hopes up, it didn't get included in the albums out this week article :rip: I'm hoping for a proper pan just for kiis and giggles

That was so weird of them too. I dont think they even made an article of it’s release either?

I wonder if she was listening to the chorus on this song before she wrote "My Baby Wants A Baby"

Candy Darling might be my favourite right now.

Pretty sure it's interpolated

You're probably right, I checked spotify and see there's a writing credit for Florrie Palmer

Absolutely love this new sound but the interludes are so unnecessary (Interlude 2 in particular). I'm not feeling the title track, maybe because of the sudden screaming??? :katie:

6- Down

7- Somebody Like Me

Here's my updated ranking since i can't stop listening

1- Live In The Dream

2- Somebody Like Me :jonny5:

3- The Melting Of The Sun

4- The Laughing Man

5- ...At The Holiday Party

6- My Baby Wants a Baby

7- Down

8- Down and Out Downtown

9- Pay Your Way In Pain

10- Daddy's Home

11- Candy Darling

SLM is definetly overtaking LITD.

I refuse to take third spot away from TMOTS. But apparently all tracks from 4-6 are gonna scalp eventually :dies:

I'm indifferent towards DH and CD now. The album is just too good and theyre nothing special. Candy Darling is what Sugarboy was to Masseduction imo.

I became a fan in 2017 with MASSEDUCTION, and to me this album is just so much better. I absolutely love this vibe. It’s one of those albums where you become addicted each listen with something new. I’m excited to experience this album when I’m walking, driving, bathing, showering, running errands, etc. Just so excited to soundtrack this chapter of my life to such an incredible piece of ART.

Down and Out Downtown :2ndplace: so cinematic!!

Somebody Like Me :3rdplace:

...At the Holiday Party

The Laughing Man

Daddy's Home

Pay Your Way in Pain

Pay Your Way in Pain is just... like I understand why people love it, and it sounds better as an intro track than it did as a single, but it's just missing something for me. it feels like it doesn't go anywhere the way the rest of the tracks do, but i do appreciate the way she plays with syncopation in the "oh no! you thought we had forgotten the show!" part. the title track and Candy Darling need to grow on me a bit too

my top 3 are all masterpieces though :jonny2: PHEW she really served excellence with this album!

What?! I don't care for The Sequel at all but the 3 of the 4 best songs on Actor are in the second half: Just The Same  But Brand New, The Bed, The Party.

I also like Bicycle and Oh My God the b-sides.

Somebody Like Me is slowly becoming my favorite :chick3:

This is an ALBUM wow. I started listening without any expectation because I didn't like the pre-release songs and just did it because I had some time yesterday but now im obsessed. By far my favorite album this year so far.

As usual with her, this album is growing on me immensely. Some songs are incredibly beautiful and moving. It's a pity the lead single is probably one of the worst tracks of her career, because the album as a whole is very strong.

I'm sorry, I can't get into it, not even the mindblowing SNL performance could get me into it (even though the song sounded way better in that context).
