Would Milkshake Have Smashed or Flopped as a Britney song?

Recommended Posts

If you don’t already know, Milkshake was handed to Britney first to record and I think she even recorded it (not 100% sure) around the time she was recording ITZ but eventually passed on it and it went to Kelis.

Would Milkshake have been another huge hit for Britney if it were released as a single on ITZ?

Would the 1-2-3-4 punch of MATM, Toxic, Everytime and Milkshake be inevitable?

Definitely a hit, it's an extremely catchy song and Britney would've sold it well.

Milkshake would've smashed no matter who released it.

This, and Britney's star power would have probably elevated it further.

I can totally hear Britney’s baby voice singing the “La la, la la la, the boys are waiting,” it would be a collapse :jonny4:

She would’ve sold the sh** outta that song so yes it would’ve been massive.

Especially with the dance craze they could’ve created with it

All of Britney’s urban influenced singles have flopped. And most of her singles from that time period flopped too except Toxic and Everytime, so Milkshake from her probably would have flopped

hmm..I don't agree with this tbh

I can only see a few artists being able to pull this off and Britney is one of them.

if It had a really sexy video (like Slave 4 U) I think it would do pretty good.

Hmmmm.. I'm not sure. I can hear Britney's voice on some parts of the song, but others I cannot.

It was definitely meant for Kelis.

On the other end, the production is immaculate so she could have killed this.

Milkshake as a lead from ITZ would have destroyed charts. Followed by Toxic and Everytime... oh wow oh wow oh wow
