TOTC predicts Top 10 after Christmas: Levitating/Body Top 10

Breezy going Top 5 is hella impressive, this is a re-peak, the song has done wonders, definetely one of his biggest in his career.

"Levitating" going Top 10 really impresses me and the fact it has like half of BMH's support so far tells you how this (third single) is bigger than the previous (second). Although I believe a freefall is coming after freeze is over, callouts are horrendous.

Wtf is organic hit? Doing nothing for the song and seeing it going to top the charts? :biblio:

you guys are totally deluded if you think anyone has to sit down and be lazy and watch it doing fantastically on the charts. Hardworking people >>> those fake organic hits.

i don’t know a nega smash that wasn’t promoted.

Single Ladies had tons of promo

Bad Romance had tons of promo

Tiktok had tons of promo

Call My Maybe had tons of promo

I think they’re mostly talking about the push on the radio with horrendous callouts and putting it at the top of today’s top hits when it’s barely top 40 on the Spotify global chart, not the promotion

radio is too influential on the formula and that list proves that it is :ace:

The radios are playing it and it’s obvious no one (and the radios) doesn’t care about the callouts. And barely top 40 on spotify? IT WAS JUST CHRISTMAS :ace:

Please. It wasnt top 40 on US Spotify or AM before December Christmas and was well below many non-christmas songs in December. Its actually currently #117 on US AM and only 4 Christmas songs are above it.

And the using 8+ year old songs as examples. Its not 2011 anymore. Spamming your song on the radio and placing it at the top of playlists is not organic. People are not choosing to listen to it, it is literally being shoved down their throats.

AGREED. Dua is trying to promote the song left and right. Radio isnt the only reason for song's success.

But Levitating radio updates are weak ever since the callouts came out what :bibliahh: NONE of the big stations are playing it and nobody has it on power rotation and obviously the smaller stations that decided to play it are not looking on callouts :skull: It’s only going up because nobody else is releasing and older songs are bleeding. The last time Levitating got 1M+  audience update on pop was like 2/3 months ago? These are current updates:

Pop: #5 (=) *Peak*
— Spins: 12307 (+59)
— Audience: 49.495M (+0.326)

Hot AC: #12 (=) *Peak*
— Spins: 2566 (-34)
— Audience: 12.071M (+0.025)

HAC even has negative spins and it’s still rising in audience :dies:

And if someone comes for the Christmas freeze, these are the updates from November:

Pop: #10 (+1) *New Peak*
— Spins: 9624 (+26)
— Audience: 39.424M (+0.137)

Hot AC: #16 (=) *Peak*
— Spins: 1712 (+25)
— Audience: 6.822M (+0.332)

Pop: #10 (=) *Peak*
— Spins: 9840 (+56)
— Audience: 39.513M (+0.102)

Hot AC: #15 (=) *Peak*
— Spins: 1868 (+20)
— Audience: 8.544M (+0.245)

Meanwhile these are the numbers other artists are getting in the middle of December:

Exactly, no-one cares about traditional callouts anymore. For now the most important tool for radio programmers is Shazam. Labels have access to detailed shazam data and they're able to cross that data with radio spins. If the radio plays a song and the song get enough shazam's tags, this means the song has good feedback.
