This has definitely become my favorite off AOTY Hours  It has such a nostalgic vibe to it, yet so fresh at the same time. Ready for this bopT to hit #1 after the SuperBowl

 

 

 

      4. Taylor Swift- august

By far the best song on folkborelore and one of Taylor’s best songs ever. The production, the lyrics, the bridge, the melody... yeah I can go on and on about this one.

 

 

 

3. Dua Lipa - Physical

Ms. Lipa made several points here! I was shook to the core the first time this leaqued, and it’s probably the best workout song. The dark verses, flute, explosive chorus... another highlight off Future AOTY

 

 

 

 

2. Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky

I never would’ve believed prior to 2020 that Miley would release one of the best songs and albums of the year  This song is the perfect example of trend hopping (disco sound during the verses) mixed with your own style (rock during the chorus). One of my most played songs of the year. I love it and would play it again, and again, and again, and again.

        1. Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande - Rain On Me

By far my post played song of the year, and one of the bests of the year no doubt even some OGH will admit. The collapse of the final chorus + outro alone  I still get chills. By far one of Gaga’s best songs ever, and Ariana elevates this songs so much. The robotic RAIN.ON.ME. throughout the song, both girls harmonizing on the 2nd pre chorus, Ariana singing over Gaga’s weird speaking (in a good way) during the bridge. A timeless classique

 

 

As you can see, Gaga, Ariana, Abel & Dua were by far my most played artists this year

I’m thinking of doing Top 10 Best/Top 10 Worst albums of 2020 sometime next week, the problem is that I don’t think I’ve really loved 10 albums this year  The way my picks are gonna look so basic & generic compared to yours nnn

I keep trying not to be like grr Blinding Lights I hate you because it's still a phenomenal song but let his other songs LIVE! Though at the same time... In Your Eyes was WAY too similar to BL to smash imo.

Save Your Tears is good but probably my least favorite of all the poppier tracks. OMG WOW you absolutely killed it with this top 4  You not only picked incredible songs but you chose all my favorites from each of their albums! Both ROM & P are such high quality but I played ROM  way more times so I put it above

 

Ironically IYE is only now starting to grow on me thanks Doja cat I was never too fond of it when AH first came out

Keep in mind that I really only listened to albums this year from major acts, since I’m not good at finding underground people with good music nnn.

      10. Taylor Swift - folklore

I mean, this isn’t my favorite type of music but I can definitely acknowledge that it’s objectively a great album. The first half is pretty strong but the last bunch of songs really lag and starts to sound the same. Again, it’s not really for me, but I like to play it as background music when I study

9. Halsey - Manic
I love Ms. Halsey, but I was really expecting more from this album. I was hoping it would be more generic like Eastside/Die For Me/Without Me  I mean there are some really good songs on here and you can tell it’s very personal to her and “artistic” (?), but the cheesy voice notes, interludes...etc and the 929 song just weren’t IT for me.

8. Ariana Grande - positions
I stan Ariana, but this was definitely underwhelming after the flaw-free Thank U Next. I like that she went more R&B, but I was hoping it would be more R&B like SZA/Summer Walker music. Anyways, there are some really good tracks on this some have aged already . I probably like this more than most people and is biased since I usually love all her albums

7. Roddy Ricch - Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial
Probably my favorite breakout artist of 2020  I wasn’t too fond of his smash “The Box”, but this album is seriously much better than that  It’s melancholic rap with great beats, hooks and lyrics. I cannot wait for his next project.

6. Harry Styles - Fine Line

Talk about breaking out in your 2nd era I liked his debut album but this is on a whole other level. He made music that’s unique to him, but still catchy and good enough to be hit after hit  The title track is one of the most beautiful songs
