Joan of Arc is a big bop, hope their album delivers  Heartless big grower  Resentment was quite boring i think

I'm a Christine fan since her early days, I listened to her early EPs almost 10 years ago, I ADORED her two albums, but I can admit surely this is her best project to date. Even if it's only 5 tracks, every track on there is immaculate piece of music craft. Absolute masterpiece. She seems so passionate about this project and visuals slays too. Very excited for her next project.

23    Teyana Taylor | The Album
"Sometimes I wish that I never let you taste me"
It's pretty damn sad to write little note for this album, knowing about her decision to retire from music industry. She's such a hard-worker, very underrated and most of the times surrounded by 'wrong' people with an amazing vision for her own art. After sexual and mellow 'VII' and experimental 'KTSE', 'The Album' offers much deep introduction to her heart and soul. Album is too long probably for most of the listeners, but I love long records, and after almost EP-like KTSE, this feels like a gift. During almost a hour and a half Teyana shows you all sides of her life: family, happiness, fights, sex, toxic relationships, self-power anthems. While there's some fillers here and there, the biggest tracks really makes this album her best work to date.

This is how pop should go political tbh! Catchy, angry, infectious anthem. The highlight of their comeback this year.

 

48    Toni Braxton, Missy Elliott | Do It/Do It Remix
"Even God don't understand why you forgave him so many times"
It's one of the rarest times when the remix is actually better than original song. While the original version serves as ballad and cry about toxic relationships, it's the remix that actually changes key of the song and the way of its perception. Missy was not only great addition of nostalgia, but she actually serving her best verse in years.

 

47    Harry Styles | Golden
"I know that you're scared because I'm so open"
An epic opening to epic record, this song captures my attention since the first listen. It's so energetic and powerful. And video captures these feelings of happy energy very well. 

 

46    Jhené Aiko, H.E.R. | B.S.
"It seem like I give so much and don't get nothin' back"
This one was another surprise for me, I would never expect that I would love that collab so much. But this is a jam! This is glowing in so many ways. Chilly, sexy and dreamy.

 

45    Taylor Swift | cardigan
"When you are young, they assume you know nothing"
This one hits you from the first listen, it's so simple, magical and sharp and the same time. Lyrics just go through your head and you actually lives with character of the song. Absolutely stunning along with music video.

I Finally Understand I actually liked more upon release and now it's started to move a touch to the bottom of my rankings. But it's still a great song, that album is just filled with 10s and 9s.
