nasa Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 heartless that -15 the second week wasn't deserving at all
TheWayWeWere Posted December 15, 2020 Author Posted December 15, 2020 (edited) me still counting and making this countdown during the night TOP 50 ALBUMS 26 Mariah Carey | The Rarities "You gotta search inside yourself and purely open up to me" As a Mariah' stan I could honestly say she's one of the most kindest legends and her team is ****ing golden. Not only she released her old singles on digital platforms (and did it properly unlike Madge for example), not only she released one of her best concerts in HD, not only she release long-lost music video. She ****ing released entire compilation of unreleased songs! Such a great project, that includes some of her previously unheard tracks and b-sides. Great way to extend her amazing discography. highlights: Out Here On My Own, Here We Go Around Again, Loverboy (Firecracker), Everything Fades Away 25 Kehlani | It Was Good Until It Wasn't "No one would bet that you would lose me like that, no one would guess I had the strength to fall back" While she never reaches the highs of SweetSexySavage on sophomore record, this album gives you more depth into her character and showcases her growth as an artists, which shows in switching genres on this record. New dark and groovy sound on this helps to show mechanics of relationships she had. Great body of work overall. highlights: Grieving, Change Your Life, Hate The Club, Open, Serial Lover TOP 100 SINGLES 54 SZA, Ty Dolla $ign | Hit Different "Please, don't deny me" This song indeed hits you different. Production is so fresh, yet nostalgic and classic at the same time. Her voice along with mellow melody sounds like honey for your ears. A comeback! Very excited about her next project. 53 Teyana Taylor | Made It "Self love is the best love" Even tho I loved both Made It and Bare Wit Me, when they was released back in the day, this loud infectious banger fastle moves all my attention to it. Production is amazing: loud, horny, ol' school, gives you early 00s r&b vibes. 52 Halsey, Marshmello | Be Kind "I know you're built to love, but broken now" I ADORE Halsey's pure pop moments, but this one weren't such a big love to me. Yeah, it sounds like hit written all over it, it's very catchy, dreamy, sweet and etc. But this a bit lacks...of its 'moment'. I think it really lacks of some kind of explosion, production in the end feels a bit toned down. I still kinda hate that GP let it flop. 51 HAIM | Don't Wanna "We both had nights wakin' up in strangers' beds, but I don't wanna give up" This simple breezy throwback to 80s/90s pop rock sound is one of their catchiest, yet still with 'Haim' sound, tracks of their discography. It's groovy, sunny and made my summer better. 50 Charli XCX | i finally understand "The walls are all gone, did we melt them down?" While probably the weakest of pre-album singles, this song grows so much on me with album release. This minimalistic banger finds its begginngs in classical uk garage sound and showcases one of the best productions on album and some of its best lyricism. I agree in general about it's shorter track list- i tend to like those albums more as there is less space for filler and I find very little in this one. Dance is my favorite track. Also i love that you have Harry's "Falling" on here, so well done that song. omg, finally some love for Toni On 12/15/2020 at 1:31 AM, Ewan Chaos said: I don't have much to say on this update so lemme check out the one I missed. Supervision is really underrated. My top 2 are part of your favorite songs too Something More is SO GOOD. It's also lowkey my favorite single cover from the campaign, maybe tied with Incapable. The fact that I think it was mostly written by someone else (that Amy woman) and Roisin still SMASHES it, ah a legend. I hate that she used that atrcious cover for album when all singles covers were FIERCE On 12/15/2020 at 1:30 AM, Wicked said: My family been saying that new Toni is crack but I didn't peep yet. I have it saved on Spotify tho. On 12/15/2020 at 1:23 AM, Remmy said: Heartless is cute, needed some time to grow on me though. Falling is stunning Resentment mmm, definitely deserved more attention. Joan of Arc ahhh a megabop But don't start getting insanely high expectations, the song is just a droplet and the album will apparently be less synthpoppy (as their new single Slow Dancing shows) I know and I low-key love Slow Dancing even more On 12/15/2020 at 1:01 AM, ARTPØP said: Resentment is my fave from this set On 12/15/2020 at 12:57 AM, Madame X said: not Freegal Music well, ill prob just wait for the remix collection if its coming soon tbh. Ewan Chaos Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Kehlani's album okay. Don't Wanna one of the better songs from HAIM's album for sure. I Finally Understand I actually liked more upon release and now it's started to move a touch to the bottom of my rankings. But it's still a great song, that album is just filled with 10s and 9s.
