Bubble Tea Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Damn these updates are coming through thick and fast. "Tucked" is obviously an album highlight, Prism-Katy came back to say hi and we stan. Also I didn't know Slayyyter got "cancelled" - what did she do? Obviously she's a messy white girl lmao. "Throatzilla" is kinda cute for a lol. "Midnight Sky" - Miley snapped. An anthem.
Ewan Chaos Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Idk why but the Would I Like it sections of some of these are making me scream Supernova >>>>> Midnight Sky is good too!
Remmy Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 THE BADDEST is cute, my least favorite from the EP though. They are incredibly approachable since it's the only K-Pop I've really enjoyed so far Tucked & Not the End of the World are both nice Taylor getting a shoutout But I've never cared a ton for peace/hoax Midnight Sky absolutely Miley did what she had to do and then some. The Abel appreciation
potent Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Kylie really gave us back to back bops on that album We stan Abel, Blinding Lights is amazing and Alone Again isn't particularly one of my favorites, but still good
BlackoutZone Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Love WJSN and Abel! Need to check out MOON, cause I loved her on 1BV, thought she is so random tho kii Supernova chorus is such a collapse I swear

"Throatzilla" is kinda cute for a lol. "Midnight Sky" - Miley snapped. An anthem. Well...besides stanning Camila, she also pretty frequently used the N word back in her "standing" days. She has since apologized for her actions, and at least it appears to me, has actually changed and grown since then. Not my place to accept those apologies but I see the effort she took to be different so I think she was sincere about it! ♥ 20 hours ago, Ewan Chaos said: Idk why but the Would I Like it sections of some of these are making me scream Supernova >>>>> Midnight Sky is good too! Kii I had to make them funny and make myself laugh to keep making these graphics it was kinda boring NGL. Glad it made a couple others get a laugh. Supernova AMAZING yeah. 19 hours ago, Ava Max said: Dream Of You, Supernova & Midnight Sky a TRUE 1-2-3 PUNCH if you ask me. 17 hours ago, Sunderland 4ever said: Supernova. I really only wanted to showcase Blinding Lights, I just picked Alone Again because it was right there in my library when I was looking for a second song. It's also not one of my favorites, but top half for sure! 10 hours ago, BlackoutZone said: Love WJSN and Abel! Idk how but queen shit methinks. AHH Supernova chorus truly is a collapse! Her leading with it and getting my hooked a second into the song. She knew the power she held with that and abused it. Hey thanks for the support up until now everyone! My final update is coming. but at least I'll finally get to share my tippy top songs of this year, the ones that truly stuck with me. starting with the K-Pop as usual! ♥
Hug Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/5C5mQ012yrXCHJAdesRWrJ Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/2ReiI8NVinCARUNTag9C8t Fun fact: This was my #1 for part of the year. It's almost like selling sex works on me! Anyway I still think this song and video are hot. LOVE this sex bop. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/4Be93e6twHWrwOyEN5b2P4 Fun fact: This song was my #1 for part of the year! It was actually my #1 for most of the year and I was convinced nothing would usurp it. Sadly, two songs did, but still, this song is SO good and it makes me really happy. It made me get more into SPECTRUM and it's also how I learned that one of the members sadly died. Still, in respect to them, they'll always be seven and they made my year a bit better, so thank you SPECTRUM. ♥ Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/2hJS7BdEaH9Jo8MeJujsHT Fun fact: This song was never my #1 of the year. :( Still, I fell in love instantly and knew it'd be HIGH on my Year-End from the first listen. I was convinced that (G)-IDLE was gonna make sure CLC stayed in the Cube dungeon forever, but Cube actually let them have a comeback (and it was CLC's most successful to date!!) it's also now my favorite CLC song (which was held by Pepe since their debut, so it's been a WHILE!) and as a whole I am SO happy with this whole thing. Love love LOVE it. Oh, and here's the avi I made from this MV (obviously Sorn biased ?): https://open.spotify.com/track/3Hq03lGqNRF4RBHFqPhHLw So no spoiler for this one YOU WILL READ MY THOUGHTS. Now when I say I got obsessed (like I did back in the GI ZI GE entry) I MEANT IT. (Notice how I listened to this song 100 times on the first day I listened to it, but somehow that wasn't the day I streamed it the most.) Very rarely will I listen to a song that makes me want to cry not because it's sad, but because I love it so much that I get emotional every time I listen to it, and this song is one of those rare cases. I really feel like this song was built from the ground up for me to fall in love with it. From the piano intro, right into those deep synth wobbles, to the vocal delivery, the sweet and sentimental lyrics (TRANSLATIONS EXIST @ K-POP ANTIS!) everything absolutely does it for me in a way so few other songs ever could. My 2020 really just wouldn't have been the same without this song to really BE my song of the year. Thank you Xydo, you beautiful KING! Oh and here's the avi I had for this too, you may have seen it before! Last Trophy Cabinet coming...soon?
Hug Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 So I wasn't sure who to give this to. I feel like the last trophy cabinet is important because it's like...this is the most important one? Then I said nah, let's bop to Korean Yummy. Here's Baekhyun performing Candy.
Hug Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/113vSUnh7fsCbSRNgEH0to This song was a SMASH from first listen yup absolutely. Kesha's title tracks always HIT (we're ignoring Warrior even though it's still a decent title track) and they tend to end up in my Kesha album trinity. This was my #1 song on the album without a doubt. I love the production on this song, along with the energy Kesha brings to it. The cheerleader chant verses are SO fun and imo add a lot to this song. As a whole this is what I want from a Kesha song and she deliver HARD with this. Love you my forever queen Kesha. ♥ Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/3AzjcOeAmA57TIOr9zF1ZW Look, we ALL know this song if we're on this site. Dua helped pioneer 2020's 70s/80s throwback trend along with The Weeknd and we don't need delulus saying otherwise. This song has THE chorus of the year and I will NOT be hearing otherwise. Not that the rest of the song slacks at all, it's all so perfectly crafted into one HELL of a song. That bridge? MASTERCLASS. Let's not even start on the video, which is one of the best of the year hands down. I can't find one bad thing to say about this song (except it getting overshadowed by some other songs on Future Nostalgia, which is an incredible album if were ignore those last two tracks.) Dua did EVERYTHING she wanted to and then some with this and she won me over with this song. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/0i3g0FyoHaEzMYTrBNMnO4 The obsession I had with this song is real. I am one of those edgy hedgys that don't like Christmas music, but will eat up a good Halloween song and Bonnie DID THAT with this track. I like to imagine what a music video to this would be like, because we won't be getting one sadly. :( Anyway stream this Bonnie needs the coin please. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/6tTPc9BEDYExwIEg8QGxvL Please don't ask me what sets this apart from any other made-for-clubs dance track, I can't tell you. What I can tell you is I instantly loved this song from the opening vocals and haven't stopped loving it since. At this point, it's not only my second most listened to song of the year, it's my second most listened to overall (as of my current last.fm account!) and I'm still not sick of it yet. I only decided to listen to this song because I was listening to HRVY's discography So this song isn't on Spotify (at the least, not in my country) so sadly it didn't get to chart on my Spotify wrapped. I will NOT let this masterpiece get paid dust, however. If you watch YouTube often enough (and you don't have Red/don't use an ad blocker) you may have heard this song before, as that's how I found this song. I just remember listening to it and feeling instantly happy and peaceful. I don't tend to feel strong emotions like that when listening to music, especially not so long after my first listen, but I can still come to this song when i just want a serotonin boost. It might be from a mobile game, but damnit this song is a masterpiece and I encourage anyone to give it a chance. ♥ Final Trophy Cabinet coming next.
Hug Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 I thought a while about what I should do with this. Maybe I should highlight what my favorite Western release of last year was, or maybe I should give a tribute to Kesha who I still consider my favorite artist...or maybe...I could just promo myself? Fuck it, sure. Lemme get that Soundcloud promo in ♥ Here's my K-Pop girl group inspired song and this is more of my edgy song that has a We will Rock You/ET inspired percussion and a dark ambiance in the production x Stream so I can feed my children thank you! I'm gonna do a whole Top 30 recap post next for anyone who decided to just check in now.

K$Ellie Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Haven't liked music from WJSN recently but Save You Save Me is so lovely Dream Of You kinda mediocre, hope the album has better songs Supernova boppy but Real Groove > west side was a grower, wish it were a full song tho and Midnight Sky good but overrated Alone Again shoutout
K$Ellie Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 SHOCKED!!!!!! at your #1 for kpop, but yeah it's a cute song Helicopter stanning is questionable I would say the same about Physical as I did for Midnight Sky and High Road was one of the more listenable on that album so x
Remmy Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I'm one of the few that enjoyed High Road (album) but I'd say the title track was one of the weakest on there Physical is absolute excellence, its top 5 spot 100% deserved Ooh LVCRFT actually does sound cute, let me peep some more songs & see if I can add more Halloween bops to my yearly rotation that aren't from Kim Petras. Kiii we love the self promo! Okay production king, DON'T ASK ME is a bop Not this being over already At least you served us plenty of gems
smholiv Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 all the Ariana songs believe its done either but bop
Lazuli Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 i've said this somewhere else but high road is so trashy but i LOVE it (along with tonight) physical is nice but my least favourite single tbh
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 10, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 10, 2020 i dont know ANY of your top 5 kpop, WTF! i like your soty. never heard it before. its the type of chill i like (im v picky with that sound)
Ewan Chaos Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 I got to KIIIINDA bop to Physical in a gay bar before lockdown (it wasn't really a club hence why I say kinda). We BETTER get to live what we were supposed to this year with flawless gay anthems, damn it!
Sunderland 4ever Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 (edited) High Road was good, but Physical takes the cake! Edited December 10, 2020 by Sunderland 4ever
TheWayWeWere Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 High Road (song) is actually one of my favorites from her album it's so 'full of life' Physical
BlackoutZone Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Helicopter was cute for a day and I obviously STAN Physical, but bitch that Doll song I just listened for the first time and it caught me off guard a few seconds in, great track!
