Remmy Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Cry About It Later + Love Me Land Father Daughter Dance is good, we love the emotion! Kinky yesss adjsijf the intro was truly a choice... luckily I still use iTunes and was able to cut that part out in song info. Champagne Problems is a solid bop, might round out my Smile trinity Positions & Summer Love are generally cute, not in love with either one though. Not the Dedicated Side B AND Side A shade Too disrespectful and inaccurate
potent Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Miss a Thing is my favorite revealed so far, a bop Honestly can't be bothered to remember more than a few songs from Kesha's album, but I'm sure those were okay!
Lazuli Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 champagne problems is cute summer love ugh, when the bridge comes in >>>> positions is nice but i have to laugh @ stuck with u 9 hours ago, Hug said: Ahh well then I guess you'll be...disappointed? a bit later because other songs from both albums are charting higher. ? Someone else who uses Go Hard? ? we love a BANGER. A lot of the worst moments on High Road are because of Wrabel can he leave (though the WORST moment was all Kesha [@Potato Song]) can't really go wrong with anything from disco at least tbh go hard and bring it back bff is the worst
TheWayWeWere Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Champagne Problems is among my favorites from Smile Positions > miles ahead > SWU
K$Ellie Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Idk the kpop songs except WLTS and you know how I feel about that BLT wasn't terrible from what I remember tho Summer Love is so good second best on the album Champagne Problems was also cute but Tucked is way better Killshot is nice enough x

However, TXT are appearing...soon! BLT adorable ? ...also, Tucked? maybe this next update is for YOU. My formatting a bit busted y'all sorry. Anyway, in an effort to get this over with and conserve title space, I'll be posting both my K-Pop and Western songs, then the trophy cabinets for both. (They're still getting their own posts I'm just not time spacing them.) It's coming up now! ♥
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 7, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 7, 2020 summer love is THAT song on dsb. but uh... want you in my room, julien, everything he needs... thats more than one!
Hug Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Spoiler https://youtu.be/RkID8_gnTxw https://open.spotify.com/track/2V4Fx72svQRxrFvNT1eq5f K/DA is what I want a lot of these girl crush style groups to be. They sound intense but never annoying and that's a balance that many other groups seemingly fail to get right. Anyway, I think this is my second favorite of theirs, with Pop/Stars being my favorite, but their discography is incredibly solid so far. Come ON LoL money! Spoiler https://youtu.be/mmhJDWXXxpc https://open.spotify.com/track/0BksM2JnhHAwRd7q9ICJQS It's short, but literally it's an outro so imo it's quite substantial in that context. I can't really explain why I liked this song as much as I did, perhaps it's the atmosphere of the dark production, or twlv's great vocal performance. Whatever it is, I was hooked and this stood out to me on an album that was full of great KR&B tracks. Spoiler https://youtu.be/zIvlwzMuP-4 https://open.spotify.com/track/0K7UyP3lq1y0upLcU6mq8n Rest in peace to this avi Spoiler https://youtu.be/_xe2I7A_VFU https://open.spotify.com/track/5ZNNKQztXgsIUqg8lmwUUq I didn't even watch this survival show or w/e it is, I just had this song come up on my Spotify recommend and loved it instantly. The dramatic bop that K-Pop excels at, in my opinion! Spoiler https://youtu.be/ImTgS5OXgbU https://open.spotify.com/track/4XdzvdvfaAozcWM2svBri5 I ADORE THIS SONG WTF. The autotune carries this song I do not care. The atmosphere of this song is entirely up my alley as well. I could listen on repeat for hours and not be bored. INFECTIOUS BOP. Trophy Cabinet coming up. ♥
Hug Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 So another artist who could've been all over this countdown given time and a bigger list is Yelloasis, a K-Hip hop/R&B artist who just last month released his first album which was 26 TRACKS LONG. This made it the longest album I ever sat through in my life, but I have like 20 of the songs saved to my library so as a whole I'd say it was worth it! His vocals are insane (and Same is a great example of this) and in general he makes great music. If you ever thought about getting into male KR&B, Yelloasis is...definitely somewhere to start!
Hug Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Spoiler https://youtu.be/8qFBUUN9N34 https://open.spotify.com/track/5ahNnBifspeXOi1sMbiXHT So the animated video for this, oddly enough, is what made me really like this song. It's not groundbreaking or anything, I just found it really cute. the more I think of it, the more I realize that Tucked is a great premise for a pop song, and she really nailed the execution too. Overall this is one of the strongest pop songs of her whole career whether people want to believe that or not!! Spoiler https://youtu.be/lA58CwFWY2E (I'm gonna be safe and put an epilepsy warning on this) https://open.spotify.com/track/4BlT9iLV7q97uPfzA2f3LQ This really exudes the ho energy I needed. I can forgive the intro being obnoxious for that reason alone. ? Spoiler https://youtu.be/TFPQ_4XKCCc https://open.spotify.com/track/25a7EWpbv4NjeUIP1PN6T1 I thought this song would wear on me after a few listens but I just ended up liking it more? The production kinda drones on so I would understand others not being into it, but I guess as a K-Pop fan I enjoy the same 4 notes on loop for 2 and a half minutes. Spoiler https://youtu.be/pKWUGAcOIfE https://open.spotify.com/track/3jYWTsZM3R3cnF0n2DpxhS Seriously, though...this sounds like something ATRL should be ALL over. It's very sugary and cute bubblegum pop (I called it synthpop but these terms are IRRELEVANT anyway) and I could fairly confidently recommend it to most ATRLers. Spoiler https://youtu.be/Iep4yDcDrcM https://open.spotify.com/track/2F20djOXWDSFEXu3tPdV71 Personally I think this is Katy's best trap pop song. Dark Horse got WASHED with this one...well not in terms of chart performance but in quality!! I love the flipping off the flop line it's so quotable and funny. Hopefully none of us came to Katy for lyricism though! and ofc the other Trophy Cabinet is up next! ...and it's funny that Katy was all over this because...
Hug Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 I didn't include Taylor in my Best Of, because even though I listened to folklore, I thought it was just...alright? Most of the songs didn't really stick with me. I liked cardigan well enough, but...when I got to the last 2 songs on the album, my ears perked right up. peace and hoax are EASILY standouts on this album, and the only songs I've actually thought about after my initial listen to the album. hoax in particularly needs more love like wtf it's so haunting and beautiful??? Anyway here's those.
Psycho Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Tucked + NTEOTW cute bops Hot was cute... Not Slayyyter I'm listening to Dreamcatcher and it's good, how did I miss this
K$Ellie Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Well PUMA is the only k-pop I know and it's a massive banger so I'm glad it's the highest Would have lashed you for Throatzillaaa a week ago but it's so good Tucked a bop but the other Katy song SUCKS Dreamcatcher very cute at least you liked those 2 on folklore x
mokitsu Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 baddest isnt my fave of the KDA sings, but i use hot is a masterpiece, pia mia needs to hop off the pole and go to the studio more.. throatzilla is hitting a bit
BlackoutZone Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 PUMA? Ok werk, great choice tbh! Love Tucked, not a fan of NTEOTW but it seems to be a fan fave Is Throatzilla here by accident? Oh and the baddest is quite of a banger, but I prefer I'll Show You (if that was the title?)
TheWayWeWere Posted December 7, 2020 Posted December 7, 2020 Tucked is fan bop but NTEOTW is one of my least favorite tracks from album I just don't the love for it
Lazuli Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 the baddest tucked and nteotw are ok... not worth the hype tbh ew @ the slight folklore slander but STAN peace omg it is the most underrated track on the album

Ahh thanks for your comments and support everyone! We're getting to the whole reason I made this Best Of -- my top 10! Any other songs could've mostly been anywhere and it wouldn't have mattered much, but making a thread for just a Top 10 sounded a bit too weak so...top 30 it was! 10-6 coming up! ♥

TXT - PUMA Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/56IPMzwHOtK0qKdmKDoWeg The KIDULTHOOD single album came to me at just the right time for me to become helplessly obsessed with it. It had two songs, with this being the second on the track listing. The "KIDULTHOOD" name was really fitting because the songs have this really sweet nostalgic feeling to them while also having a mature R&B sound. It's hard to explain, but the songs really capture the idea perfectly. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/2xYnqYBNL62ypPiA0wjD0s We're embedding the videos for this top 10! ?Anyway, instead of focusing on how stupid Chancellor and Babylon look in that performance video, look at this remix that is 15 and a half minutes long and features like half the K-R&B industry. I'd really just tell someone to look at the features on this song if they wanted to get into KR&B, there's a lot of great people there (including XYDO who was just a #10!) Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/2z0LVG9G2SpFaT5bHyWwjK The aggressive energy in this, hot. ?Also the MV hot too. Ugh this sound is so up my alley, love a dark BG bop. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/2JsXWaWxZLjMVSEadNF26D Surprise bitch.gif I loved this whole mini, but ARIA is on a whole different level for me. This is stunning and gorgeous and heartbreaking. I could throw adjectives out there forever, but the point is that I fell in love instantly! Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/0zHKzisOc4qiD5DI6tk2W4 Let's go MOON! Two entries in my Top 10 and both came kinda late in the year for me. Looking forward to seeing what 2021 has in store for her because I think she could become a potential fave of mine! Lemme just once again mention that the vocoder on this song slays me btw. Trophy Cabinet coming as soon as I can think of what I want from it.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I think folfklore was a bit overrated, but her songwriting on this
Hug Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 So, my Trophy Cabinet this week will go to WJSN. Another song that got snubbed pretty hard on my list this year is Save Me, Save You, due to me only including songs from 2020 this time. It had a great chance of being Top 10, however, if I didn't add that rule. Since I've been doing these in pairs, I also liked I-Yah, even if it's just a lessor version of INFINITE's "Back".
Hug Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 Western Top 30 Recap (ATReLevant songs bolded) Spoiler 30. Ariana Grande, Doja Cat - Motive 29. Kylie Minogue - Miss a Thing 28. Katy Perry - Not The End of The World Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/5SEvxpu5ImOFOcXyeM8fbx I know this is a REALLY recent song, but I got obsessed instantly. Probably could've been higher if given more time. This is SO good. Finally, something to compete with Roller Coaster for her best song! This performance video is also sickening like HELLO go the fuck off with those knee pads queen. I would make an avi from this if HQ avis weren't disabled. It's just THE moment. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/2kYDYNJcZyEADRXwoZgQUk Can we really be surprised that Kylie gave us the best Disco album of the year? (You can debate that amongst yourselves, it's true for me!) For me...yes, actually, because I'll be real and say I never sought out Kylie's music before, and only listened to the album one night on a whim. I am SO happy I did, though, because it's SO good. This is my favorite track from the album and yes it IS because of the vocal editing on the song. It's so infectious like wow talk about an obsession! Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/1whfVLMKWqAX3uk97VXsNN I'M 'ONNA MAKE YOU WANT MORE I'M 'ONNA BE YOUR NEW FAVORITE Seriously, you guys, WHY are we sleeping. Is it the length? a whole ass career highlight and we're swerving because it's tOo sHoRt SMH. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/3Ci1olkcTJ3oXEVGnjMsmu I realized the reason I like this song so much is, outside of me just really liking his singing voice, is because of the lyric "Fantasy what honesty can do", I kinda think it's brilliant? Yet this isn't the type of song you listen to for its lyrical content so...really it's a mess all around huh. Anyway nobody is gonna care for this "who?" so let's move on. Spoiler https://open.spotify.com/track/27ycaQnQAxaPiyeg3nr2aB I'm neither surprised by Miley trend hopping onto this sound, as she does, or that she did it so well because she always does! I do think that Miley can take any trend and make a few great songs out of it, and that's her biggest strength (and possibly how she managed to remain at least somewhat relevant for as long as she has.) The chorus on this song is SO powerful idk how she did it, but I'd say it's tied for best chorus of the year with...another song that's coming next update. as usual, Trophy Cabinet coming once I think of it!
Hug Posted December 8, 2020 Author Posted December 8, 2020 Giving it to The Weeknd because he needs recognized somewhere I guess.
