i've tried getting into Arca, but i think their music is too noisy for me lol. i've seen nothing but positive comments about Everglow's EP, i should check it out :gaycat4:

At first i didn't like her music either, but in recent times i really like Arca discography. Maybe it's a clinical depression lmao

Yes you should listen to it. It's one of the best kpop mini of the year, even it's just a 4-tracks album

#39 I only heard it a couple of times. Interesting change for Sufjan's music. #37 an album that I heard too late this year. I like Experience. #36 I found it quite meh. Semper Femina was much better methinks.

Sufjan wants to have an experience as a Big Pop Girl in this era and honestly i respect that ddd

(July 3, 2020)

Quote

I know this is a B-side for the single, 'America' but since i really love this song more that the actual single then why not lmao

This song is 10 minute length track and I don't feel bored thurought the song. 'My Rajneesh' is true perfection from Sufjan. Even though this is not part of his recent album but I can appreciate it on its own.

'Magic' has a light, laid-back feel that take us back to the era of disco. When you hear the beat comes on, you just can't help but get up and dance. This is also Kylie's take of Katy's 'Chained to the Rhythm' and made it her own classic

In my opinion, this might just be his best song he's ever released. I know the lyrics for this is basically for comedic purpose, but it kinda feels deeper than that by the way he delivered his verse. This is basically a "f*ck you" to insecurities.

This album isn't quite as "in your face" as her 2 previous albums, but I think this might be her best album in terms of consistency. This is a huge sign of progress for Carly's sound. She's getting better with every release and I'm very excited to see where she goes next.

(January 17, 2020)

Quote

This is definitely one of the better posthumous albums I've heard, given the fact that it feels like a complete, consistent body of work completed by the artist himself rather than a collection of extended snippets. Also this is a more mellow album than what I've heard from Mac in the past and I enjoyed It. It's sad and some of the tracks are genuinely hard to listen to as a posthumous release.

This is an exciting, slick pop song that's extremely enjoyable. The chorus is extremely catchy for better or for worse, even with the mistranslation ‘like the boys’ being repeated over and over again. Also the way she delivers in this song in such extreme confidence. "I'm so confident" indeed.

I'm so happy that Agnes Carlsson releasing more music in recent years. She made a comeback last year with her EP Nothing Can Compare, a new original material since her last album "Veritas" back in 2012.

I can't describe how much i love this song. The fact that not so many people know about this bop is a crime against humanity. I just hope that she can keep up with this momentum with the new album.

Also i want to thank @Cloudy for posted this song on SYG, back when it was still open LMAO

Quote

This is a compilation album and final release of Red Velvet's trilogy "The ReVe Festival" that contains all twelve tracks from two previous EPs "The ReVe Festival: Day 1" and "The ReVe Festival: Day 2".

This trilogy is a rollercoaster ride just like the concept of the trilogy. This album has rich production with mix of a couple different influences while staying in pop conventions. If you haven't listen to their discography especially this album, Boy, you're missing out A LOT and that's a shame.

Such a big update :jonny:

Do It is a bop

Magic is probably one of my least fav songs from DISCO

Posted

whew an update (I should go get to mine tbh) but Do It, Set My Heart on Fire, Dedicated B and Magic are definitive 2020 musical GOLD

Posted

Now that you mention Magic and CITR similarities :rip: maybe that's why I've never been a huge fan of Magic lol, it's still a bop though

If those La vita nuova top tracks are in order too then that's my exact ranking :clap3:

Save Your Tears :katie2: although I prefer IYE and BL

The New Abnormal and IAD :clap3: STUD really grew on me!

I remember a lot of people & ATRLers compare the song to CTTR when it first released :skull: Other than the same synth, honestly there's no other similarities than that

Also BL would be my #1 singles of the year if he released it in December last year nnn oh well

This song is really good. Everything about the song is solid. The driving beat, chorus, melody, and punk revival ethos is phenomenal. Most of all, the emotion within the track is great.

After so many repeated listen, it hits harder everytime. Starting off as a simple indie pop ditty but it builds momentum to horn swelled chorus. I can see this song as a stample soundtrack of teen romantic drama series in the future.

Disco is full of hooks, great song-writing, and Kylie's beautiful voice shining brightly. This album could have been a disaster but thankfully it is most certainly far from it.

I've seen so many people have different opinions about this album but whether this is a masterpiece or exhausting or even both at the same time is entirely subjective. But one thing that can’t be denied is that ‘græ’ has established Moses Sumney as one of the most creative, original, & bold voices in music today.
