Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 110. Obey - Bring Me the Horizon and Yungblud from the album Post Human: Survival Horror (September 2, 2020) Quote I've never been a fan of both of these artists, but the song is surprisingly… really good. Not gonna lie, this is the type of songs that Linkin Park would release especially with the pre-chorus. But minus Mark Shinoda's rapping. I think the only thing that drag this song is Yungblud as a feature cause he didn't add anything into this song. I didn't know he sang, I thought he rapped, or whatever. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 109. Helicopter - CLC (September 2, 2020) Quote This song goes OFF and it's not as messy as I thought it would be when I listened to it for the first tiime. I feel like this kind of concept work for them really well and the girls seems comfortable doing it, not like when they tried to do 4Minute cosplay few years ago. Even though i still prefer to their other single especially their 1-2-3 punch of their title tracks last year, but this is still big fun mindless bop that i really enjoy listening to. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 108. In the Afternoon - MGMT (December 13, 2019) Quote "In The Afternoon" is a moodier edge of 80s-inspired music with a glorious choruses, verses and dense instrumentals. The song kinda reminds me of their previous album 'Little Dark Age' but with more dark wave influences. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 107. Prisoner (feat. Dua Lipa) - Miley Cyrus from the album Plastic Hearts (November 19, 2020) Quote I really loved this song by the time it came out, but after listening to Plastic Hearts, my opinion of this song changes. This song is obviously not the best of the album. But as a song itself, this is still good. Their chemistry is really solid, and both of their voices suit this production really well but I’m not gonna gonna lie that this is kinda generic. Regardless, this is Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa make an 80s pop/rock lesbian anthem that we didn't know we needed. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 106. Amor de que - Pabllo Vittar from the album 111 1 (December 4, 2019) Quote This is such a bop. It kinda reminds me of Telenovela soundtrack that I used to love when I was a kid. This song is a perfect way to go to the beach and meeting some hot guys and take them to your hotel room idk Spotify Apple Music Youtube
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) 110. Dreaming of David - Ryan Beatty (January 31, 2020) Quote This album is certainly a pretty album. I mean just look at the album cover, it's really bright and polished that sadly doesn't reflect into this album as a whole. His vocal's shines throughout this album and I can hear Frank Ocean's influence a lot in this, and he gave his own spin on it. However, it doesn't really cover new ground and i wish he had feature artists in some of the songs. Top 3: Casino, Backseat & Evergreen Spotify Apple Music Youtube 109. It'z Me - Itzy (March 9, 2020) Quote Even though Itzy already released couple of mini albums, but I never interested to listen to their b-sides until they released this one. This mini is full of noise and fun bops that I wish iy would it never ends. And i also I hate how some of the songs are so catchy & got stuck in my head for days. Please help! Top 3: Wannabe, Nobody Like You & That's a No No Spotify Apple Music Youtube 108. Love Is an Art - Vanessa Carlton (March 27, 2020) Quote Most of the times, Vanessa Carlton has great pop ballads that I genuinely love but I'm surprise that she took the direction for this album more alternative-sound compare to her previous albums. So I'm excited about this and boy she nailed it, at some parts. She sounds really good in this album, and someof the songs reminds me of late 90s indie rock band album. it's promising and interesting approach, but I feel like the album does lack memorable songs. They're all good for what it is but the lack of hooks kinda bothers me a bit. But nevertheless, i'm just so glad that she keeps releasing new music. Top 3: Salesman, Back to Life, The Only Way to Love Spotify Apple Music Youtube 107. Power Up - AC/DC (November 13, 2020.) Quote This is their first album since "Rock or Bust" back in 2014 and I gotta admire their commitment after everything that's happened to them, from Brian Johnson's hearing problems and Malcolm Young's death in 2017. They were still able to create an AC/DC record that sounds exactly as one would from 30 years ago. Yes, this is definitely an AC/DC album. Did i say this in a negative way? Not really. The songs are energetic, Brian's vocals are incredible and everyone did their part really well. It's a good rock album, it does its job, and it sounds very honest. I'm not expecting them to reinventing the wheel and looking for originality. Since i've been watching WWE lately, the lead single of this album "Shot in the Dark" always play everytime it comes on and i can't help but bopping to it. Whew the payola worked, huh? Top 3: Shot in the Dark, Kick You When You're Down & Through the Mists of Time Spotify Apple Music Youtube 110. The Slow Rush - Tame Impala (February 14, 2020) Quote I'm so dissapointed with this album. Was it worth 5 years of waiting? No. But do i still enjoy it? Hell yeah. I can't help but keep listening to this album because I have no self-respect. The production on this album is arguably the best n my opinion but the songwriting is just messy. It's like Kevin didn't even try for this album and ended up giving up in the middle of songwriting process just so he can ordered foods on Uber. Some of the songs are bland and tend to not really go anywhere. But there's something very dreamy about this album that i would play this on full volume in my own bedroom without any care at all. Is it crack? Top 3: Posthumous Forgiveness, Lost in Yesterday & Borderline Spotify Apple Music Youtube Edited December 7, 2020 by Mr. Blue_Shirt

Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 105. Be Kind - Marshmello and Halsey from Halsey's EP Collabs (May 1, 2020) Quote This is surprisingly good. I've never a huge fan of Marshmello production but in this case, it's less hideous than all his other songs. This is generic but in a good way, and it sounds like straight from "great pop music formula 101" book. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 104. Therefore I Am - Billie Eilish (November 12, 2020) Quote Sadly, I find Billie's droplet singles this year are not that great. I feel like she's just laying low this year after her massive success with her debut last year, even until this day still climbing up the chart and gaining a lot of streams. So i'm not really has a lot to say, at least she's still releasing music. While nothing about this song really strikes me as bad, nothing about it strikes me as good either. Just safe electropop. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 103. Fever - Dua Lipa and Angèle from the album Future Nostalgia (French edition) (October 29, 2020) Quote Not gonna lie, Angèle really elevate this song into 100%. This sounds so much like a contemporary French pop song so I can see why she eat this up like it's her usual meal. The only bad thing about the song is that it is too short Spotify Apple Music Youtube 102. Take Yourself Home - Troye Sivan from the EP In a Dream (April 1, 2020) Quote Troye coming up with another excellence to put in his discography. The song is great. Pretty much underrated compare to his other singles. The outro is a bit out of the place and it's kinda weird to listen to at the first but in the long term, it doesn't ruin the song. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 101. So Bad - StayC (May 1, 2020) Quote StayC is the IT girl of new GG this year. Black Eyed Victory always serving quality with their tracks and it's not shocking that they delivered again here. The chorus is one of K-pop’s best this year, their vocals are natural feel so refreshing to hear. This is an amazing debut, iconic from the start. The only reason why i put this at because i don't want to wait a little longer for this Spotify Apple Music Youtube
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 105. Moonchild - NIKI (September 10, 2020) Quote My Indonesian sister is finally releasing her debut album this year and i gotta to say that it's not that bad. This album kinda reminds me of Billie's early music especially form her debut EP, but the comparasion it's actually not bad per se. It's just that there's some room for improvement in the future, which I'm excited for. And yes, this is miles better than Joji's new album. Top 3: Selene, Switchblade & Tide Spotify Apple Music Youtube 104. 111 - Pabllo Vittar (March 24, 2020) Quote This album is collection of bops that I really enjoy when I'm in a good mood. Pabllo deliver a decent record, even though is not very cohesive but still extremely satisfying to hear. Top 3: Amor de que, Parabéns & Lovezinho Spotify Apple Music Youtube 103. Suga - Megan Thee Stallion (March 6, 2020) Quote This is such fun album to listen to but it's obviously not her best record in her discography. but i wish she would work with some different producers in this one. While I wasn't blown away by this project, but I have to admit that Megan is one of the most charismatic rappers to come out with music recently. The first half of this album is very, very solid by the way. Top 3: B.I.T.C.H, Captain Hook & Ain't Equal Spotify Apple Music Youtube 102. Confetti - Little Mix (November 6, 2020) Quote "(Britney's voice) I really do like this album, i really do". This album had a bunch of nice pop songs that could easily be an instant radio hits. And also this is a step in the right direction for them to keep their fans and general public to get intro their music interested for years to come. Top 3: Sweet Melody, Break Up Song & Confetti Spotify Apple Music Youtube 101. Miss Anthropocene - Grimes (May 1, 2020) Quote This album to me feels like a mixed bag. There are highlights here but there are also tracks that feel underwritten and leave me wanting something more. This album however does flow well from start to finish and is held together through the production and her vocals. But I wish the melodies and hooks here stuck harder just like Art Angels but obviously that she's no longer chasing that type of sound in this album. I did enjoy this album but not gonna lie, i'm hugely dissapointed after five years of waiting. Top 3: 4ÆM, Delete Forever & So Heavy I Fell Through the Earth (Art Mix) Spotify Apple Music Youtube
