Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 24, 2020 Author Posted December 24, 2020 30. My Rajneesh - Sufjan Stevens (July 3, 2020) Quote I know this is a B-side for the single, 'America' but since i really love this song more that the actual single then why not lmao This song is 10 minute length track and I don't feel bored thurought the song. 'My Rajneesh' is true perfection from Sufjan. Even though this is not part of his recent album but I can appreciate it on its own. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 29. Something More - Róisín Murphy from the album Róisín Machine (July 31, 2020) Quote This song takes me to the church and I had epiphany that god truly is aa woman an her name is Róisín Murphy. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 28. Naughty - Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi from the EP Monster (July 20, 2020) Quote This is flawless. I literally gasped when I first heard this song. This should've been their Title Track imo. Flawless execution, musically and otherwise. NOW That's What I Call K-Pop! Spotify Apple Music Youtube 27. Magic - Kylie Minogue from the album Disco (September 24, 2020) Quote 'Magic' has a light, laid-back feel that take us back to the era of disco. When you hear the beat comes on, you just can't help but get up and dance. This is also Kylie's take of Katy's 'Chained to the Rhythm' and made it her own classic Spotify Apple Music Youtube 26. Bald! - JPEGMAFIA from the EP EP! (February 20, 2020) Quote In my opinion, this might just be his best song he's ever released. I know the lyrics for this is basically for comedic purpose, but it kinda feels deeper than that by the way he delivered his verse. This is basically a "f*ck you" to insecurities. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 30. Dedicated Side B - Carly Rae Jepsen (May 21, 2020) Quote This album isn't quite as "in your face" as her 2 previous albums, but I think this might be her best album in terms of consistency. This is a huge sign of progress for Carly's sound. She's getting better with every release and I'm very excited to see where she goes next. Top 3: Let's Sort the Whole Thing Out, This Is What They Say & Summer Love Spotify Apple Music Youtube 29. YHLQMDLG - Bad Bunny (February 29, 2020) Quote This is possibly the best reggaeton album in years, in my opinion. He sounds confident and consistent with top notch production and a vibrant sense of playfulness throughout the record. This album makes me wish I can understand Spanish (alongside Shakira's spanish discography). Top 3: Safaera, Yo perreo sola & La santa Spotify Apple Music Youtube 28. 回:Walpurgis Night - Gfriend (November 9, 2020) Quote It's easily my favorite album by Gfriend. This is a solid album from start to finish. Maybe the stan card that I bought from them few days ago really works this time. Or maybe it's witchcraft?! Top 3: Mago, Better Me & Labyrinth Spotify Apple Music Youtube 27. La vita nuova - Christine and the Queens (February 27, 2020) Quote The production in here is consistently crisp and clean. This EP restore my faith in pop music in upcoming years. This is smart, sophisticated modern music. We love to hear it. Top 3: La vita nuova, Je disparais dans tes bras & People, I've Been Sad Spotify Apple Music Youtube 26. Circles - Mac Miller (January 17, 2020) Quote This is definitely one of the better posthumous albums I've heard, given the fact that it feels like a complete, consistent body of work completed by the artist himself rather than a collection of extended snippets. Also this is a more mellow album than what I've heard from Mac in the past and I enjoyed It. It's sad and some of the tracks are genuinely hard to listen to as a posthumous release. Top 3: Good News, Blue World & Everybody Spotify Apple Music Youtube
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 24, 2020 Author Posted December 24, 2020 25. Comme des Garçons (Like the Boys) - Rina Sawayama from the album Sawayama (January 17, 2020) Quote This is an exciting, slick pop song that's extremely enjoyable. The chorus is extremely catchy for better or for worse, even with the mistranslation ‘like the boys’ being repeated over and over again. Also the way she delivers in this song in such extreme confidence. "I'm so confident" indeed. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 24. Save Your Tears - The Weeknd from the album After Hours (November 20, 2020) Quote This song got me in tears. I know I'm being hyperbole here, but this is the male version of Robyn's 'Dancing On My Own' and you can't convince me otherwise! Spotify Apple Music Youtube 23. Little Nokia - Bree Runway from the album 2000and4Eva (September 23, 2020) Quote This is beyond a banger and a god tier single. in theory, these type of song shouldnt work but it somehow blended really well and Bree's delivery elevate the song even more. I'm so glad I discover her this year. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 22. Do It - Chloe x Halle from the album Ungodly Hour (May 14, 2020) Quote This slaps HARD. The production is slick, the hook is catchy and the girls' vocals are shine especially their hamonization. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 21. Fingers Crossed - Agnes (August 21, 2020) Quote I'm so happy that Agnes Carlsson releasing more music in recent years. She made a comeback last year with her EP Nothing Can Compare, a new original material since her last album "Veritas" back in 2012. I can't describe how much i love this song. The fact that not so many people know about this bop is a crime against humanity. I just hope that she can keep up with this momentum with the new album. Also i want to thank @Cloudy for posted this song on SYG, back when it was still open LMAO Spotify Apple Music Youtube 25. Starting Over - Chris Stapleton (November 13, 2020) Quote This album is easily the best country album of the year. The production is splendid, Stapleton’s vocals are very strong and the sultry background vocals are truly the standout. This album is worth hearing if you a fan of country music Top 3: Arkansas, Cold & Joy of My Life Spotify Apple Music Youtube 24. Set My Heart on Fire Immediately - Perfume Genius (May 15, 2020) Quote The vocals and production are really good and the first half of of it is stacked and it carries that momentum to the end. This is a terrific piece of work, one that’s the most essential release from Perfume Genius yet, and also probably his most fully realized album to date. Top 3: On the Floor, Describe & Nothing at All Spotify Apple Music Youtube 23. In a Dream - Troye Sivan (August 21, 2020) Quote This is a solid and memorable EP that radiated sad and dreamy, melancholic vibes. If this EP is any indication of Sivan's future, it's a future I'm endlessly excited for. GAY RIGHTS!!. Top 3: In a Dream, Stud & Easy Spotify Apple Music Youtube 22. The New Abnormal - The Strokes (April 10, 2020) Quote This album is a The Strokes' greatest and most cohesive album in well over a decade, perhaps full stop. Production and songwriting quality both a huge step up from their previous two albums. They exceeded my expectations on this one for sure. Top 3: The Adults Are Talking, At the Door & Bad Decisions Spotify Apple Music Youtube 21. The ReVe Festival: Finale - Red Velvet (December 23, 2019) Quote This is a compilation album and final release of Red Velvet's trilogy "The ReVe Festival" that contains all twelve tracks from two previous EPs "The ReVe Festival: Day 1" and "The ReVe Festival: Day 2". This trilogy is a rollercoaster ride just like the concept of the trilogy. This album has rich production with mix of a couple different influences while staying in pop conventions. If you haven't listen to their discography especially this album, Boy, you're missing out A LOT and that's a shame. F*ck it, i'm going to do Top 4: LP, Psycho, Ladies Night & In & Out Spotify Apple Music Youtube

I kinda stan him more this year idk why 20 hours ago, Kevin2803 said: Miley, Dua, Little Mix, Blackpink & Allie making the album list I never listened to the Kaytranada album, but Worst In me is a bop Dua, Blackpink, Ava, Little Mix, Troye & Zara on the singles list His album is honestly bop. Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 27, 2020 Author Posted December 27, 2020 20. Bad Decisions - The Strokes from the album The New Abnormal (February 18, 2020) Quote This song is really good. Everything about the song is solid. The driving beat, chorus, melody, and punk revival ethos is phenomenal. Most of all, the emotion within the track is great. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 19. What's Your Pleasure? - Jessie Ware from the album What's Your Pleasure? (July 24, 2020) Quote I can't wait for gay club to open so I can experience this song and finally perform my own choreograpy there! Spotify Apple Music Youtube 18. Kerosene! - Yves Tumor from the album Heaven to a Tortured Mind (March 9, 2020) Quote This song is absolutely ****s with me. I can't describe how special this song for me. And also I just found out that Diana Gordon is featured artist in this song few weeks ago Spotify Apple Music Youtube 17. Enemy - Charli XCX from the album How I'm Feeling Now (May 15, 2020) Quote This song grew so much on me. Even though this is actually a promotional single but this will probably go down as one of her most underrated "proper" singles in her career. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 16. Kyoto - Phoebe Bridgers from the album Punisher (April 9, 2020) Quote After so many repeated listen, it hits harder everytime. Starting off as a simple indie pop ditty but it builds momentum to horn swelled chorus. I can see this song as a stample soundtrack of teen romantic drama series in the future. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 20. Disco - Kylie Minogue (November 6, 2020) Quote Disco is full of hooks, great song-writing, and Kylie's beautiful voice shining brightly. This album could have been a disaster but thankfully it is most certainly far from it. This is a fun, celebratory collection of pop gems, the likes we haven't seen from her since... X?! Top 3: Supernova, Say Something & Real Groove Spotify Apple Music Youtube 19. Ungodly Hour - Chloe x Halle (June 12, 2020) Quote This album is soo good that Beyoncé didn't give them any notes regarding this album. This is a classic, this is a classic Top 3: Do It, Ungodly Hour & Forgive Me Spotify Apple Music Youtube 18. Græ - Moses Sumney (May 15, 2020) Quote I've seen so many people have different opinions about this album but whether this is a masterpiece or exhausting or even both at the same time is entirely subjective. But one thing that can’t be denied is that ‘græ’ has established Moses Sumney as one of the most creative, original, & bold voices in music today. Top 3: Polly, Cut Me & Colouour Spotify Apple Music Youtube 17. Folklore - Taylor Swift (July 24, 2020) Quote This is a beautiful album that starts strong and ends strong. The production is insanely good and the songwriting is there. But i can help but kii at Taylor really wrote her best album just because she was bored in quarantine. Top 3: Exile, This Is Me Trying & My Tears Ricochet Spotify Apple Music Youtube 16. Lianne La Havas - Lianne La Havas (July 17, 2020) Quote Lianne La Havas made an album to be remembered for years to come. This is an expertly crafted album that displays the singer's best traits in the brightest way possible. Top 3: Weird Fishes, Bittersweet (Full Length) & Paper Thin Spotify Apple Music Youtube
