Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 65. Dakiti - Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez from the album El Último Tour Del Mundo (October 30, 2020) Quote This song feels like darker reggaeton and I love it for some reason. Also the song is kinda building to something that never comes, but the vibe and melody is so catchy. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 64. Lovesick Girls - Blackpink from the album The Album (October 2, 2020) Quote We love 2012-Icona Pop bop in 2020. Maybe because the expectation for them is really low from me this year, so this is feels like a huge improvement from their previous 2 singles this year. Also since they are my favs, I have to put at least one single in top 100. Yes i'm biased, what about it? Spotify Apple Music Youtube 63. Future Nostalgia - Dua Lipa from the album Future Nostalgia (December 13, 2019) Quote This is such a great opener for her fantastic album of the same name, Future Nostalgia. When it was first released, I don't expect anything what the album is going to sounds like but this song is a blueprint of the entire album era is going to be like. She's a female alpha indeed. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 62. Ego Death (feat. Kanye West, FKA Twigs and Skrillex) - Ty Dolla Sign from the album Featuring Ty Dolla Sign (July 1, 2020) Quote The only reason why I put this higher because of FKA twigs' verse. Let's be real, she really outshined these men with her 20 seconds part. Ty and his petty ass stay bothered. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 61. KLK - Arca and Rosalía from the album Kick I (June 22, 2020) Quote The duo I never knew I need in my life. Some people might find this song really weird to listen to but I love every single seconds of it. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 60. Impact (with Robyn and Channel Tres) - SG Lewis from the upcoming album Times (August 5, 2020) Quote This collab feels like a fever dream to me. I ascend everytime I listen to this song. You should try it. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 59. Forgive Me - Chloe x Halle from the album Ungodly Hour (June 12, 2020) Quote This song is hypnotic, sensual and both of their vocals sounds passionate that make me feel every single word from the lyrics. Also the Intro into 'Forgive Me' sounds smooth that you almost don't even notice when the song switches over Spotify Apple Music Youtube 58. Caution - The Killers from the album Imploding the Mirage (March 12, 2020) Quote I'm so happy that The Killers come back making a new album and this song is one the highlight form their newest album, Imploding the Mirage. Can't describe how much I like this song. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 57. Cardigan - Taylor Swift from the album Folklore (July 27, 2020) Quote Can't believe this song was made by the same person that also made songs about proclaiming her love for spelling and telling homophobes, Twitter trolls & ATRLers to calm their ass down. I'm so glad take herself seriously as an artist and this song is one of examples why she excel herself as an singer-songwriter. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 56. Pporappippam 보라빛 밤 - Sunmi (June 29, 2020) Quote I'm that kind of gay who suckers for infectious hook in a pop songs. Sure, this song is not one of the greatest song ever made & the most innovative thing ever but f*ck it, I can't help but bopping hard to this song. She did THAT! Spotify Apple Music Youtube 55. Garden Song - Phoebe Bridgers from the album Punisher (February 26, 2020) Quote I thought i won't fully get Phoebe Bridgers but this is a solid song and i'm started to like her. Dreamy folk is a good fit for her. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 54. Love Not Loving You - Foxes (May 20, 2020) Quote It's so good to see Foxes comes back, and for me, this song is good comeback single for her. This new song is pleasant, reasonably catchy single with some sophistication thrown in and It doesn't feel kind of generic, in my opinion. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 53. La Di Da - EVERGLOW from the EP -77.82X-78.29 (September 21, 2020) Quote This is 'Blinding Lights' copycat, but I don't mean it a bad way, of course. Everything sounds delicious, The chorus is catchy as hell and make you sing-a-long to it. This is hands down one of the best k-pop single of 2020. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 52. Hallucinate - Dua Lipa from the album Future Nostalgia (July 17, 2020) Quote I knew it when the lyrics "Pocketfull of honey and i'm ready to go" comes it, this will enter my list of best songs of 2020. Period. Spotify Apple Music Youtube 51. Man's World - MARINA (November 18, 2020) Quote This is not the best song she's released and in fact, she released much better song with the same theme when she was still used "and The Diamonds" stage name. But hell this song is really catchy and her vocals really carried this song especially with the cheesy & predictable lyrics. Spotify Apple Music Youtube
Mr. Blue_Shirt Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 65. Dystopia: Lose Myself - Dreamcatcher (August 17, 2020) Quote While this mini album is not perfect, Dreamcather continues their legacy as one of K-Pop's best and most unique girl group today. Quality? Vocals? Experimentation? Dreamcatcher has them all. Top 3: Boca, Break The Wall & Dear Spotify Apple Music Youtube 64. Plastic Hearts - Miley Cyrus (November 27, 2020) Quote This album is leaps and bounds better than anything miley has made previously. It's cohesive and meticulous pop record that takes her biggest inspirations and puts them together in a way that compliments her artistic vision in every way. Also her voice better than ever in here. This is honestly the best direction for her, and if she ever says anything negative about this album while she's promoting her new project in the future, I will personally tell her to f*ck off. Seriously. Top 3: Midnight Sky, Angels Like You & Plastic Hearts Spotify Apple Music Youtube 63. No One Mourns the Wicked - Big Ghost Ltd. & Conway the Machine (May 15, 2020) Quote This album is a collaboration album between rapper Conway the Machine and anonymous hip hop music producer Big Ghost. From someone who never heard of their discoraphy before, this album is a very good and an amazing hardcore hip-hop with great production. The features on here also fit with the style of music as well, and overall this very solid record and if you love hardcore hip hop, give this a try. Top 3: Bricks to Murals, Icon & Fake Love Spotify Apple Music 62. Dark Hearts - Annie (October 16, 2020) Quote Annie came back with an album this year. You might know her from her two previous album 'Anniemal' (2004) & 'Don't Stop' (2009). Or maybe you know her from her singles 'Chewing Gum' or 'Heatbeat', one of the best songs from 2000s hands down! Yeah, it's been a decade since her last studio album back in 2009. But this new album shows more mature, more contemplative and more melancholic side of Annie. The beats and the synths are nostalgic and her vocals are luscious, licking every melody with a wistfulness that is uniquely her own. This album definitly worth the wait for me. Wow. Top 3: The Streets Where I Belong, Stay Tomorrow & In Heaven Spotify Apple Music Youtube 61. Ho, why is you here? - Flo Milli (July 24, 2020) Quote This is such a fun album to listen to and it proves by the way she sounds like she's having so much fun when she's rapping. It's impossible for me to not get swept up in it every time. i've listened to this an absurd amount of times. She has a ton of natural talent that i hope she continues to use in the future however she wants to. Top 3: In the Party, Beef FloMix & Weak Spotify Apple Music Youtube 60. We Are - Weeekly (June 30, 2020) Quote This EP has no skips. Period. Top 3: Tag Me (@Me), Hello & Universe Spotify Apple Music Youtube 59. Imploding the Mirage - The Killers (August 21, 2020) Quote This is a pretty great album. It absolutely carried by the high points from the singles, just like every Killers album. But I’d argue that if they do more polish, this could be their later career masterpiece. Top 3: Dying Breed, Imploding the Mirage & My Own Soul’s Warning Spotify Apple Music Youtube 58. Bubba - Kaytranada (December 13, 2019) Quote This is an amazing album from start to finish. Every single songs doesn't disappoint. The only negative is that the length is kinda too long, track list wise. Cause this doesn't really have to be 17 songs long but that is just my personal take. Top 3: 10%, Gray Area & Go DJ Spotify Apple Music Youtube 57. 金字塔 (Kinjitō) - Reol (January 22, 2020) Quote I discovered Reol discography back in the summer and wow I can't describe how much I like her music. This album mixes different genres and combining singing with trap delivery, electro-pop rhythms with house, light dance vibes with a soul/R&B mood, with different beat changes and interesting bridges. In each song she put a different personality and became a different person. I enjoy this album a lot. Top 3: 金字塔, 1LDK & ゆーれいずみー Spotify Apple Music Youtube 56. Strangers / Lovers - Dagny (October 2, 2020) Quote I knew about Dagny when Katy sampled Love You Like That for Never Really Over. This is hands down one of best pop albums this year and this is cleary underrated. Where is the news and the media? Top 3: It's Only a Heartbreak, Somebody & Please Look At Me Spotify Apple Music Youtube 55. Every Bad - Porridge Radio (March 13, 2020) Quote Actually, I really don't like the first half of the album but wow the second half of the album is the best this out of this album. I also love how the album flows really well and compliment each other. Top 3: Circling, Lilac & Homecoming Song Spotify Apple Music Youtube 54. Women in Music Pt. III - Haim (June 26, 2020) Quote This record consist some creative, interesting, and genre-blending pop/rock/indie music that are well known for Haim as a group. The front half of the record seems a bit stronger than the later half which becomes a bit forgettable but this record is still a very enjoyable listen. Top 3: The Steps, Don't Wanna & Los Angeles Spotify Apple Music Youtube 53. Post Human: Survival Horror - Bring Me the Horizon (October 30, 2020) Quote I knew about this band's existence for a long time but I never bother to listen to their music. But damn this is quite good. This is far and away the most exciting and ambitious radio rock material today but it's still really good album. Top 3: Kingslayer, Parasite Eve & Dear Diary, Spotify Apple Music Youtube 52. 7G - A. G. Cook (August 12, 2020) Quote This album consist of 49 tracks long and split into seven discs. How in the f*ck?! But as someone who hate albums that has more than 20 tracks, The album is actually not that bad. I could see myself bumping this up to a 10 times a days. Top 3: Silver, Acid Angel & The End Has No End Spotify Apple Music Youtube 51. 12:00 - LOONA (October 19, 2020) Quote After the lackluster of their previous mini album earlier this year, this album make up for what I want from them. Everything else is good-great, from memorable and enjoyable intro into very sweet and somber sounds yet loveable ending in the last track. Mark Rih Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Impact, Dakiti and Hallucinate all 10/10 bops
TalkThatRihanna Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Lovesick girls, caution & card again
BlackoutZone Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Ugh you already know which tracks I like, but I have to specially point out FN title track which as you've said is an amazing opener Weeekly honestly had a promising start, Tag Me is SUPER catchy, but I didnt like their second mini
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 16, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 16, 2020 fn, hallucinate, klk, impact, lnly, lovely song choices. i wish klk was higher though tbh, and im glad you picked fn/hallucinate. they've been empty from lists! 7g was good. im not forcing myself into listening to it more than once though the reol and porridge radio albums were super good, didn't give them enough listens though.
Sunderland 4ever Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) Dakiti, Future Nostalgia, Cardigan and Hallucinate are my faves. Edited December 16, 2020 by Sunderland 4ever
TheWayWeWere Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 what a big update Future Nostalgia title track is such a great opener Ego Death should've been Fka solo song Impact Forgive Me is ****ing banger, should've been a hit tbh Caution The Killers really did THAT Cardigan is so magical Love Not Loving You making another list Hallucinate opening lines Man's World is such a great comeback to form Women In Music, Imploding the Mirage and Plastic Hearts are low-key my favorite records from that artists
Post Malone Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Man's World, Hallucinate, Lovesick Girls and FN all bops
ARTPØP Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Future Nostalgia, Cardigan, Hallucinate Plastic Hearts
dreamofyou Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 plastic hearts at 64 FN is a greater opener, also cardigod
potent Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Future Nostalgia (song), Caution, and LNLY are all GREAT I wish they had made the top 50 though but at least they are here Hallucinate is also a bop! WIMP3 and Imploding the Mirage are both great, although I loved almost every track on ITM, I only don't like Lightning Fields that much
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 17, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 17, 2020 Quote It was s cute album, but damn i was so dissapointed with it Her first to album aged way better that this new album teebs then we're skipping i guess future nostalgia, the song, is VERY underrated cardigan is great but her songwriting is hit and miss garden song is not the best from punisher plastic hearts + women in music i agree, the first half of wimpiii>
