Ewan Chaos Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 That Solange LP is so overrated Courtney Barnett was kinda always my least favorite of the "indie rock/pop" girls that came out at the sameish time, Natalie Prass, Julia Holter, etc. Decent album still, and we love a lesbian! Japanese Breakfast, Deerhunter, and Grizzly Bear, those are albums I need to check out! I've listened a little bit to a different album of each of theirs weirdly.

Hopefully Yet Again will become one of your favorite Grizzly Bear tracks! 14 hours ago, potent said: The only album I’ve heard from Foals is their Part 1 from last year, but I might check that one out! I like Inhaler and My Number Curious fact: I actually own a physical copy of Holy Fire. I kind of stopped following Foals after that. 15 hours ago, K$Ellie said: I regret not listening to Solange when the album came out although I heard it's not all that but I'm not sure if people have switched since I had not listen to her previous record, and I kind of felt the same once I liked her 2019 stuff. 17 hours ago, Tom Vercetti said: I remember Hoops. They're decent. Appreciate the extensive approach of this countdown. From the albums list so far, shout out to Virgins in particular. I listened that EP so much back in those days. Their subsequent LP was kind of of meh, unfortunately. 19 hours ago, Blue Rose said: Solange Courtney Barnett Foals Japanese Breakfast 21 hours ago, Delta said: Solange 22 hours ago, Madame X said: Ok I definitely know a lot more of the album picks then the EP my favorite is probably solange. Idk why but only a few Japanese breakfast songs aged well w me I didn't know so many of you were into Japanese Breakfast, Foals and Courtney Barnett. Cool! Edited December 4, 2020 by Sunderland 4ever
ikiru Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Love how detailed your list is! So many albums I don’t know, but they look really promising! Definitely will check out some of them!
perpetual novice Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 The Solange LP is excellence Would have been high up in my last year had I done one.
Blue Rose Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Carrie & Lowell is one of my most played album of 2020 Process seems low but I can live with that placement
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 4, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 4, 2020 pom pom is my fave one here i want him to go down this route instead of more traditional sounds. i liked snail mail but black marble is prob my 2nd fave here. carrie and lowell is one of those album that gets rave reviews but i didn't connect with
Delta Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Sufjan Stevens, Sampha and Bridgit Mendler I love the way you're structuring and presenting the album's info.
Remmy Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Unsurprisingly I haven't heard any of the EPs Listened to Holy Fire last year when I was getting into Foals and I liked it ENSWBL Pt 1 is more my speed, though. Bridgit sticks out so much on this list HMNI was great, definitely one of the more mature Disney debuts. Ready to see what else is on here
Tom Vercetti Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Wild Nothing > I still have some feelings towards Carrie & Lowell even though I don't even really play it anymore.
potent Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Bridgit Mendler I don't know that Sampha one, but I heard Nobody Know Me Like the Piano and I liked it!
Ewan Chaos Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Snail Mail's album was cute. Pom Pom! Haven't listened to that in a while; good album. Always makes me think of Azealia too hahaha Carrie and Lowell is GOOD like objectively, but um... I don't love the ~tumblr Sufjan takeover~ the album brought if I'm honest and I had a fear he'd just continue down that route for success based on his post-album singles. I'm more of an Illinois/Age of Adz hoe. Sampha's album, also good!

Blue Rose Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 BEYONCÉ Kiwanuka one of my faves from 2019 Nils Frahm American Football sadly never reached their full potential.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 5, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted December 5, 2020 beyonce is ofc a classic. do you prefer it to lemonade and 4? RAM is one of those albums thats not actually that good, but still had a huge impact on music. im mixed on it. my fave on this is probably the alvvays album, its the perfect dream pop throwback mixed with a twee throwback. somehow felt acceptable in 2010s still. and omg, the dum dum girls miss them, i liked kristin kontrols solo project a lot to
Remmy Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 BEYONCÉ and Unorthodox Jukebox My 2nd favorite albums from both. I still remember being disappointed when BEYONCÉ was surprise released because I was still 100% into top 40 pop and her changing sounds was a shock to me.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Beyonce's self-titled is classic already
K$Ellie Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 jksdhjfkdshfd screaming at all the indies on the list and then Bridgit Mendler i mean she had some cute bops so x Bey's self titled was excellent my fave from her the Bruno album is pretty good too
Kevin2803 Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 I don't remember which songs i have heard from them, but i know Angus & Julia Stone, so good for them
Lazuli Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 carrie and lowell TOO LOW lush, antisocialites, beyonce
BlackoutZone Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Honestly I would not be able to rank even top 50 of the 10s, let alone this, congrats on achieving this!
Delta Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 Beyoncé and Random Access Memories are my favorites from this batch
