Hell yeah Troye and Harry! I wasnt a huge fan of Troye's recent stuff especially considering he's not dropping an album for another two years I bet but i still love the inclusion

I didn't like the new stuff either. I think he would rank higher if we had the same quality as Bloom.

Rina :WAP:

Rina was my best discovery of the year I guess:WAP:

Tove so high :clap3: love her discography even if her recent releases haven't been quite as good

Taylor slayed this year, especially after how underwhelming Lover was :heart2: Rina absolutely STOMPED :smitten:

really liked the Grimes album :jamming: Allie flopped for me and Harry is massively overrated I think

Hearing mixed opinions about Allie. Not gonna lie, I used to like her previous albums better, but she hasn't disappointed me yet.

Joan and Harry we stan

Joan's EP was different than I was expecting, almost boyband-ish but in a good way (some tracks remind me of BSB)

I've been listening to Joan's stuff for a while without realizing who they were.  I ended up having most of their singles reaching top 5  on my charts. Now I realize how good they are. Brokenhearted reminds me A LOT of Shape of My Heart, which made me listen to BSB a lot this year too. They're great.:jonny:

Always love seeing Kylie Minogue appreciation.

Jessie Ware is my fave of the batch. She might even be in my own top10

Dua, Jessie and Kylie, powerful trio this year :clap3:

The top 2 is very interesting though

Posted

I don't know Shy Martin, but it's a cute top 10 :clap3: Kesha is very high, which is interesting

Posted

Love the graphics/formatting of this thread

I had forgotten to highlight Lady Gaga's #1 spot:psyduck: Now it's looking good

Posted

20-11: Taylor Swift + Tove Lo  :worship:

10-1: Kylie + Gaga

Great design, as per usual!

Babylon is arguably the best song of her career, but Gaga did not deserve the first spot, I'll leave it at that. :noparty:

Never paid attention to The Knocks before but they did deliver a BIG knock with MUNA :katie2: and a smaller one with Foster the People :gaycat2: HAIM's album was mostly enjoyable. Halsey, Selena, Khalid, Weeknd, Jessie, Ariana :eddie: Niall + PVRIS :heart2: Tove, Rina, Harry, Dua :smitten: King Troye and queens Allie/Taylor/Kesha/Gaga :worship: joan was one of my favorite discoveries of the year, both of their EPs scalped me :jonny5: Solid list overall! Ready to see more :foxaylove:

Lady Gaga #1, interesting :matty:

Kylie, Jessie, Dua, and Abel getting mentions :clap3:

Jessie should've made the top 5 though :eli:

Ooh who is this Shy Martin? Tell about them, should we check her out? Otherwise, I like the top 10 except the Maxipad lady!

Posted

Hooray, the three artists with my favorite disco/dance albums of the year happen to be on your Top 10. A huuuuge thumbs up for that.

Posted

Your top four is honestly gay perfection, and Dua + Doja + Weeknd all in the top ten.. I must stan. :clap3:

Posted

Bombay Bicycle Club, there's a blast from the past. :jamming: Love this point system/formatting.

As a Gaga stan I don't think she deserves the #1 of anything this year, frankly. The good half of Chromatica slaps though so I can see why she collected those points. :clap3:

I've been casually listening to her and ended up having most of her recent singles entering the top 10 on my weekly charts :fan:

Really? I don't think Gaga had ever gotten any #1 spot on my previous "Best Of" lists. I got too obsessed over Rain on Me and Chromatica overall. Ignored her a lot during the BTW era and the last time I paid attention to her was with Art Pop (and a bit with Shallow). :gaygacat6:

I'm just bitter that she's been so elusive this year. Topping your chart will only encourage her laziness. :fish2:

You're right. The replay against the top 5 contenders worked a bit against her this year. I should say though that she's been doing really well on my charts and year end lists consistently since 2012 (actually since she collaborated with SBTRKT in 2010/2011-ish). She is great and I lover her music :WAP:

I love that MUNA song even though I used to listen to their songs a bit before that. joan are great, I still can't believe I have been listening to them so much since 2017 without realizing. :jonny:
