Funk & Nice to Meet Ya are nice Three. Two. One. is mostly cute. Petals for Armor Sooo underappreciated and really great, ATRL has plenty of complaints about the album while I have little to none. Your highlights for both of these Your CALM trinity though, ahhh hey twin! The album is good, I prefer their debut + Youngblood. It seems like their discography is in a pattern: 1st & 3rd releases slay, 2nd & 4th could've been a bit stronger. Good thing I never visited the Hayley thread, all atrl does is complain 18 hours ago, Blue Rose said: CALM and Petals for Armor i agree with the shows descriptions. Wasnt a big fan of any of them. Just cute. Yeah Westowrld in particular was my biggest disappointment but i'm still hopeful for next season 18 hours ago, Kevin2803 said: Albums 21 - 25 are perfect The Good Place had such a perfect series finale Yeah the season finale was cute. 18 hours ago, Legend E said: I loved The Good Place, sad you didn't like it more Love Petals for Armor, 5SOS and Meghan were quite okay tbh, expected worse from both Ditto regarding both, especially Meghan 16 hours ago, Ewan Chaos said: Heard that Chromeo track with that MAX person. It was okay. Yeah Petals for Armor lowkey one of the best album titles of the year. I'll talk about this on my Best Of nnn, but I was one of the few people not wanting her to go the stereotypical pop rock route (just stay with Paramore if you're gonna do that?) and didn't want like 14 Stay the Nights cuz that song sucks. So was really surprised to see her create an album that's more funky and in the vein of someone like Solange and Mr. Twin Sister. Oh wow, well I'm glad you wanted the change you got tbh. If she continues solo I hope she at least gives us some pop-rock even as stand-alone singles 9 hours ago, K$Ellie said: Feud was indeed meh, kind of a chore to get thru Hayley and Kiana were quite bad I think Treat Myself had a few bops Yeah I agree, Feud had little to keep you coming back. I agree it didn't go through it's full potential, but it was okay It was fine, I actually prefer the confusing storyline, it always comes together in the end (for the most part) and it's fun making and reading theories online as episodes air and being proven wrong each time 3 hours ago, ikiru said: The Good Place was alright, I enjoyed most of the episodes a lot and it had a solid finale. The concept was incredibly interesting. Still haven't checked out the latest Westworld season, I loved the first two seasons but the third season received so much criticism so I was scared to watch it. The concept was very interesting I just wish they did more with it! re:westworld.. Idk I guess you have to if you want to keep watching to season 4, it does have some great moments as i said, but I was just underwhelmed you know? 1 hour ago, Madame X said: lmao, i remember the evil twin meme. kinda was a fun moment. omg i can't imagine a pop rock hayley album at this point, unless it was like in the vein of hard times. either way, im really happy with what we got. its cohesive but honestly pretty diverse and theres a lto of different faves from everyone. I.WANT. Were they better than what made it onto the album? Why would she do that? -- @TheWayWeWere NEW UPDATE!! HONOURABLE MENTION: No Ordinary - Labrinth is a beautiful song and I Had NO IDEA he had this range, and a great instrumental! Forgot to include it but definitely deserves a mention. 49. Kissing Other People - Lennon Stella 39. All - Terrell Grice, Jaden Gray, Saeed 48. Borderline - Brandy 38. Love Goes - Sam Smith & Labrinth 47. (****) What I Need - Diamond White 37. Small Things - JoJo 46. Happiness - Little Mix 36. Honeymoon Fades - Sabrina Carpenter 45. Nobody Else Gonna Get My Love - Terrell Grice, David Simmons Jr., George Lovett, Gene Noble 35. love language - Ariana Grande 44. In Your Head - Jade Novah 34. So Much Better - Tinashe & G-Eazy 43. Bulletproof - Justine Skye 33. B.S. (Remix) [feat. Kehlani] - Jhené Aiko 42. Pretty Please - Dua Lipa 32. Fear of Being Alone - Lennon Stella 41. What U Need - JoJo 31. Stuck with U - Ariana Grande & Justin Bieber 40. XS - Rina Sawayama 30. Creep - Terrell Grice, Inayah Notes: Love Lennon, & as I said in my album review, these two are terrific songs and some of my faves of the year! 'Borderline' is such a breath of fresh air RnB song! In struts Brandy with her superior intricate runs and vocal layering, reintroducing her unique sound that few can replicate. The music video as well is fantastic, very emotional and fitting. IDK the drama with Diamond but '(****) What I Need' is a sad bop and I enjoyed it all year long 'In Your Head' is melodic and I enjoy that along with the lyrics, it's one of the best on the album! 'What U Need' is a great bonus track to Jojo's deluxe album, another up-tempo dance track to add to an already flawless pop album. 'XS' & 'Bulletproof' are both bops I also danced too all year long. 'Love Goes' is the best collab on the album, Labrinth holds his own against Sam and runs beautifully, the soft start, anthemic middle and return to soft end is very well produced! Sam really delivered this year! 'Honeymoon Fades' stretches my love for Sabrina , the subtlety! The near whisper and longing in her voice, the lyrics! All expertly done! I can't wait for a more mature album, she hardly ever disappoints! I only listed 'So Much Better' that high because I love it WITHOUT THE RAP. Let me make this clear, the rap is UTTER GARBAGE and with it the song would not rank on my list, but it's a sexy song without it.. moving on.. 'B.S.' Is terrific and I love Kehlani's version more than H.E.R.'s which did not make my rate.. Any/everyone who disagrees can kick rocks (looking at you @EarStyle ). 'Stuck With You' is beautifully sung and done for a really good cause, I think people forget that when they throw up arms over fan/stan arguments and the artists' pasts. Shut up. They did a nice thing, the song is lovely, the whistle note is divine. Love this song. 'Creep' is one of the funniest songs I've heard in a while, it's weird hearing a female cheater's point of view but it's a very cute song, I never skip it when it comes on, plus Inayah is talented as hell and there's no end to her runs and awesome ad libs that she sprinkles on the track. (Inayah's the singer in the meme singing in the mirror with the other girl doing her makeup )
KasioKas Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) Forgot to mention that if you're an RnB fan and love vocals 'Nobody Else Gonna Get My Love' & 'All' are terrific mid-tempo tracks from male artists with RANGE, one guy even whistles in the end! Alsso really well written by Terrell and the instrumental for the former is fitting, they both give old school rnb vibes but the sing the house down. Edited December 16, 2020 by KasioKas

TIE: No Tomorrow - Brandy & Rather Be - Brandy 20. Levitating - Dua Lipa TOP 10 SOON! Notes: 'None of Your Concern' is a brilliant break up track, savage as hell, but I only enjoy it WITHOUT SEAN'S PART. He did not need to be included and ruined the end entirely. I especially love the intro, which reminds me of 'How Much I Like You' by Hans Zimmer for the 'It's Complicated' soundtrack! 'Gold' has a briliiant intro and chorus as well, very well sung, I couldn't get the run out of my head all year! I'm not a Weeknd fan but 'Love Me Harder' is one of Ari's best collabs in her career, I was curious whether this would be as good and it almost surpasses it? The lyrics to 'off the table' can be linked to her love life (what little we know) and also sorta plays into the rumours that they were together briefly (which I don't believe), vocally both acts delivered and no one outdid the other, but it's the lyrics that keep me coming back 'My hair'.. The whistle chorus... singing a chorus in whistle notes.. chorus whistling.. the talent.. I- What a feat! 'Do It' penned by the girls with Vic Monet, is a highlight on the album, a perfect duo of pop and rnb, and the girls' outro on the song is a vibe and reminiscent of old RnB. Glad it became a minor hit for them and hope they continue with this vibe. Dinah gets no publicity since leaving the group but all songs she released this year were great, '1501' and 'Lottery' are sexy BOPS!!!! and I'm in love! This is a very rare moment where I can distinguish an artist from their past. Both songs are incredibly underrated. 'positions' has proven to be a great lead single, and quite stable on the charts as well. It's easily one of the best on the album, I just wish the music video were more sexy in line with the suggestive lyrics. Ari plays with her whistle register once more and the song is better for it, really glad it got single treatment. 'Bye Bipolar' is such a brilliant and deeply personal track, that I think explains her mental health without being cringey, not to mention the slow start and high end is great delivery. It's certainly a letter penned to the ex that broke her heart/did her dirty, and hearing this, he deserves it . 'Lonely Hearts' both the original & remix are excellent, lyrically and vocally, and Demi brings nothing but quality, her belts are so fitting here and she matches Jojo's emotions and adds some sweet ad libs . Definitely one of my top faves from the album! 'COFFEE' is the biggest EARWORM of 2020 . Bar none. I could not get this song out of my head. It's no wonder it snuck into my top songs on spotify. 'Triggered' was another earworm, another savage track from Jhene about an ex she's telling off, whoever is on the receiving end of these lyrics should be embarrased, she doesn't hold back. It's a battle of hating someone you once loved, the restraint and the confidence from the lyrics, love that contradiction. 'Mad at Me' & 'Moment' were on repeat back to back for the entire first half of 2020. I was obsessed, the former being a over-confident flex and the latter a slower, sexy track over a simple instrumental. I can't speak for Kiana as I don't know her work that well, but 'Moment' is easily one of Vic's best songs of her career. Lyrics like "Finally you can add this moment to your memory" & "Land it like a plane on my back, if you can't hold it".. I mean clearly he didn't listen because she's pregnant but damn is that hot. BOTH 'Rather Be' & 'No Tomorrow' are among my top 3 most played this year on spotify, Is there any question why?, why living legend Brandy served RnB that's very current yet still stuck to her unique way of doing things. 'Rather be' is another song penned with Vic Monet and once again it delivers one of the best tracks on the artist's album! Both very replayable, both earworms, both with stellar ad libs and harmonies I'm super obsessed with both of them to this day, it's top tier RnB in 2020 hands down.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 None of Your Concern my favorite couple back on track My Hair is vocal masterpiece Do It Levitating Positions feels so overhated, it's amazing actually Coffee should've been big Triggered such a great clapback to Sean

Maddox Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 I share the same feeling about The Goold Place... I feel like it ended on a boring note that no one will think about 10 years from now. It's like a rehash of Parks And Rec in the way they rewarded every character with their ultimate happy ending or whatever during the finale. It's basically a quirky show with an interesting premise that ended up trying so hard to appeal to their audience who share the show's gifs on twitter that it just became a collection of corny catchphrases, especially with the Maya Rudolph character. It's like she was especially designed to say some **** like "The earth is cancelled y'aall" for folks on twitter to share it's weird... Never finished Feud but i'll always enjoy the way Big Little Lies ended up overshadowing it back when they were released at the same time lol I kinda disagree on Westworld hihi! You might say it's confusing, i say it's ambitious Though you're absolutely right about Maeve, they have truly ruined her character and i blame Evan Rachel Wood for it but whatever Haven't seen Hollywood and i doubt i will... It's weird to me is how Murphy is now releasing some boring content with his Netflix money, where's the shock value???
