Ewan Chaos Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Velvet is good! Admittedly I never really went back to it but I still like to bump the title track from time to time. We stan Petals For Armor in this HOUSE YAAAAAAS. People just wanted Paramore but as just a Hayley album I'm finding nnn which is kinda silly. Also your top/bottom picks are quite good, though as time went on I really started falling in love with Taken because it's basically a Mr. Twin Sister song with Hayley's vocals. So happy to see Love Not Loving You so high!
ikiru Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 (edited) great song update! didn’t really care that much about the albums! as long as you care! Glad to see some Ruel love here! A great song! But gorgeous devoured cute Yeah I've always preferred Come Over by a bit Uhmm what's up with that... I've actually noticed there's a few too many OBHs out there 23 hours ago, Ewan Chaos said: Velvet is good! Honestly I haven't returned to it much either but that's because he released half of it last year and my trinity was sitting in those 6 tracks - I did have that EP on repeat for quite a while though! Absolutely! I mean we did get bits of Paramore in there anyway, plus her bandmate(s?) is in the album credits. Well I had to reward queen Louisa for finally deciding to comeback & give us a bop! 23 hours ago, ikiru said: great song update! didn’t really care that much about the albums! as long as you care! There's no way I could've locked her out Same. So far it's LNLY > FITC >> Hollywood >>>>> Woman (weakest song in her discography) Maybe a Tik Tok hit. I don't know about Billboard and all that I think it'll be forced to remain at #5 for me, but I'm still thankful that it really clicked on the 2nd or 3rd listen. 12 hours ago, geodancefreak said: DSN, Stupid Love, 911, Susie Save Your Love, Kinky, Gimme What I Want, Never Be Me, Tokyo Love Hotel AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH That's also how I react when I remember these GEMS exist BEST ALBUMS || #07-05 NOTE: This category is ranked by the average score each release got after I rated every track above 2:10-ish. 07. Jessie Ware 'What's Your Pleasure?' [[Great]] Trinity: 1. Soul Control • 2. What's Your Pleasure? • 3. Save a Kiss Bottom 3: 10. Ooh La La • 11. Adore You • 12. The Kill Thoughts~ Before this year, the only thing I knew Jessie Ware from was her random feature on Nicki Minaj's "The Crying Game". () Now thanks to extreme hype from the gays, I was able to get a ton of lovely disco bops from her. Compared to other 2020 releases with similar sounds, it feels a bit more mature & smoooth - but it's not my favorite of the bunch! 06. Chloe x Halle 'Ungodly Hour' [[Amazing]] Trinity: 1. Tipsy • 2. Do It • 3. Ungodly Hour Bottom 3: 9. ROYL • 10. Baby Girl • 11. Catch Up Thoughts~ Chloe x Halle were a sister duo that I knew existed, but I couldn't really get on board with them after peeking at a few songs from their debut (that I later realized were great.) But once "Do It" arrived, they suddenly captured my attention. Ever since then, they started scalping me left and right with their live performances as well as this easily enjoyable sophomore album. Now I am more excited than ever to see/hear Halle as Ariel in the upcoming Little Mermaid reboot. 05. Dagny 'Strangers / Lovers' [[Amazing]] Trinity: 1. Come Over • 2. Tension • 3. Somebody Bottom 3: 9. It's Only a Heartbreak • 10. Please Look at Me • 11. Let Me Cry Thoughts~ Dagny had me completely floored with 2016's Ultraviolet, aka one of my favorite EPs of all time. For Strangers / Lovers, she split in half (to match the concept) and I'll tell you that out of the first 6 tracks she dropped, 5 of them are 10/10s in my book. Nearly a perfect EP! I will also admit that the second half lowkey pales in comparison, although there's certainly no weak track to be found. The album heavily appeals to my taste and hits a major sweet spot. Ewan Chaos Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 What's Your Pleasure below Dagny and not classified as amazing... choices. Cosign checking out Jessie's first album too since you haven't heard her other stuff. Definitely different from WYP but all her albums deserve a listen imo. Omg I'm lowkey distracted by your last year picks nnn I forgot that you were one of the other few people (I think) who stanned Friendly Fires and Betty Who last year
