We stan Petals For Armor in this HOUSE YAAAAAAS. People just wanted Paramore but as just a Hayley album I'm finding nnn which is kinda silly. Also your top/bottom picks are quite good, though as time went on I really started falling in love with Taken because it's basically a Mr. Twin Sister song with Hayley's vocals.

Honestly I haven't returned to it much either but that's because he released half of it last year and my trinity was sitting in those 6 tracks - I did have that EP on repeat for quite a while though!

 

Absolutely!  I mean we did get bits of Paramore in there anyway, plus her bandmate(s?) is in the album credits.

Thoughts~ Before this year, the only thing I knew Jessie Ware from was her random feature

on Nicki Minaj's "The Crying Game". () Now thanks to extreme hype from the gays, I was

able to get a ton of lovely disco bops from her. Compared to other 2020 releases with

similar sounds, it feels a bit more mature & smoooth - but it's not my favorite of the bunch!

Thoughts~ Chloe x Halle were a sister duo that I knew existed, but I couldn't really get on

board with them after peeking at a few songs from their debut (that I later realized were

great.) But once "Do It" arrived, they suddenly captured my attention. Ever since then,

they started scalping me left and right with their live performances as well as this

easily enjoyable sophomore album. Now I am more excited than ever to see/hear

Halle as Ariel in the upcoming Little Mermaid reboot.

 

05. Dagny 'Strangers / Lovers' [[Amazing]]

Thoughts~ Dagny had me completely floored with 2016's Ultraviolet, aka one of my favorite

EPs of all time. For Strangers / Lovers, she split in half (to match the concept) and I'll tell

you that out of the first 6 tracks she dropped, 5 of them are 10/10s in my book. Nearly

a perfect EP! I will also admit that the second half lowkey pales in comparison, although

there's certainly no weak track to be found. The album heavily appeals to my taste and

hits a major sweet spot.
