Smash after smash after smash after smash after smash! Dua ate this year up but Jessie deservingly took the top spot :clap3:

Posted

Not a big fan of Kylie but I checked Say Something + Magic when they came out and wasn't impressed with either :katie: I prefer Magic though. Dua taking over ahhh :jonny5: But why is Physical the lowest one of the 3?!?!? Well I was one of the many that thought Dua would be #1, so maybe it wasn't as predictable as you thought :gaycat3: Spotlight is great though & a nice choice for your SOTY. This was a great Best Of overall :foxaylove:

Posted

Dua's domination :clap3: She released bop after bop this year, we love it!

Posted

Your top 5 is sooooo gay but that's not a bad thing! I like all of them even if BMH might be a little high imo.

Jessie keeps winning :clap3:

Say Something is better than Magic and probably my favorite song on the album!

Posted

FLAWLESS TOP5! However, I have to say I thought Physical was your fav Dua song??

Posted

NOT dua taking up 3/5 of the top 5 :skull: i would just put levitating the highest tho :lakitu:

say something ugh excellence

YOUR NUMBER ONE AHHHHHHHHHHHHH SIS do check my top 10 too

But yas at Dua STOMPING

Yup you need to listen to What's Your Pleasure, it's more grown up, more classy take on disco and dance pop compared to Future Nostalgia, but it's just as good and accessible

another W for jessie.

3 dua songs in the top 5, can't blame you though, the album is full of bops and great songs.  surprised you picked say something.  magic and i love it are better but i do appreciate how spacey it is.

I get how Magic is getting more appeal, but Say Something has that touch of iconic unique Kylie single - I Believe In You, All The Lovers, Say Something feels just like them and I love that

Jessie's album is so good and so easy to get into! Really recommend :clap3:

:ahh: Almost... Why is Jessie Ware so popular. HER ALBUM FLOPPED, HELLLLO. WHY DIDN'T YOU PEOPLE BUY IT???

It didn't though? It's her highest charting album ever in the UK (#3) without any charting singles and she never really pushed her music outside of Britain. It's also highly acclaimed by critics around the world and definitely gave her biggest exposure since her debut. She is not really a mainstream artist, her tour stats however are amazing and she has super successful podcast and best seller book.

Period, I'm still stunned by its greatness :clap3:

It's stunning, but tysm :fan:

Oh Jack worked on Ivy too? nvm he's forgiven, lowkey best song on the album.

OMG I'm glad to see you (I'm assuming) sharing your top picks between Jessie and Dua instead of giving them all to Dua! Break My Heart an unexpected top Dua track, but I'm happy to see all the other songs you have in your top 5 :clap3:

Yeah ff I "introduced" a rule of max 3 songs per project so the top 10 isn't just Dua and Jessie :fan:

Yeah Break My Heart was definitely to be the most polarizing entry here since ATRL isn't as in love with that one as me, but I love it!

They definitely strike me more, cause I've been a Kylie fan for years and this is a comeback to form :jonny:

Tbh consider Dua entries as equal, they are like my babies!

Thank you so much, I could not do something as HUGE as your best of so I'm glad even as little could be entertaining

Honestly I love all 3 and I just sorted them by my last.fm plays:

Break My Heart - 717

Levitating - 678 (+ 290 plays on the blessed madonna remix dhfkds)

Physical - 625

so it just depends on my mood :fan:

I honestly didn't expect anyone else to have Spotlight at #1, Save A Kiss and the title track seem to be more loved, but I'm glad to be proven wrong :clap3:

Oh wow!! Love the Top 5!!!

Physical is Dua's the best song from FN! Levitating and BMH are timeless pop classics as well! :alexz:

Kylie did that in 2020 :jonny5:

While I do prefer the other songs in the Top 5, I think Spotlight is a really good song! Def didn't give Jessie enough love this year! :frown:

Just realized you finished up your Best Of so I should also say GREAT JOB was really fun following along even when you tried lashing me or maybe that was just on my Best Of :clap3:

And that's what best ofs are after all! I'm sure a lot of people will get more into Jessie seeing how she SWEEPS these best ofs left and right :clap3: While her album was very instant for me, I can see it being a grower too, it hits best at night!

Thank you so so much, there is always a little pressure while making these and I'll keep trying to improve them every year :heart2:

AND I could never fairly lash you with that avi so :keir: JESSICA WILL PREVAIL!

Tbh my favorite songs from Rare are Bad Liar and Fetish so they are ineligible, I also love Feel Me, but I've been bopping to it for good years now so it felt weird to put it now. Vulnerable was up there to end up on the list but didnt :keir:

Dreamcatcher always have nice verses/build ups to me, but I'm not really into their jpop anime'd choruses

ahhhhhh so happy to see august in your top 10, such a stunning song :smitten: the evermore drag is rude, amazing album x

Miss A Thing is my second fave on the album after Real Groove so :clap3: Say Something VERY underrated to me but

After Hours v cute, not my fave on the alberm tho :keir: Spotlight deffo a deserved SOTY :WAP: love to see the title track there too

very pleased with the fact that Physical is the lowest single :fan: Levitating obvi deserves, I'm happy she decided to push it in the end :smitten:

Break My Heart is a cute choice for best FN song, do you perhaps also stan You Calling My Name by Got7 or I'm In Trouble by Nuest :-*

I hope Apink and Sunmi would still be top 10 if the 2 lists were combined :-*

evermore low key growing on me, but it definitely doesnt feel as monumental as folklore did to me, it was a shock value evermore doesnt have cause its not as much of a jump as from Lover :lakitu:

Kii physical is great I dont get why you dont like it, but I think it's the least timeless track of these :fan:

And lmao I see yall try to tuck this certain chorus formula to BMH, but yes I like YCMN and How Long by Charlie too  Have not heard the other so I will check!

Hmm I think the top 10 would be like:

1. Spotlight

2. BMH

3. SS

4. Levitating

5. Dumhdurum

6. Physical

7. pporapippam

8. WYP

9. SHADE

10. XS / august

I mean I'm very impressed by the amount of songs, cause I would not be able to rank them all even if you separate them by album tracks/singles (and I would have tons of dilemmas on whats a single and whats not considering all the flops I stan with weird rollouts) :pancake:

BUT Thank you :heart2:
