But ugghhhh I don't know a lot of these entries, I need to stay informed eh, you prob know a lot more in my top 20 lol 6 hours ago, Lazuli said: yea i understand what city pop is, thanks to that random japanese song that went viral. but the way both yukika’s and twice’s start off just caught me off guard cuz they sounded really similar to me i’d type out my favourite part of klk, but idk if its just vocalisations or actual lyrics 24* hrs i was shocked to find out it was sophie produced tbh wait what, i never thought of describe as country? ungodly hour a BOP ok, i reslistened to say something and i hear the exact part you are speaking about, yeah it is very similar. thiefs! n, i keep on forgetting to fix that typo. i hear sophie in parts of it, but i dont know if i would have noticed if i had not known before hand tbh. describe is tagged as "alt country" on some sites... interesting. 3 hours ago, ikiru said: great update! noir, klk and iphone are a huge bops! 24hrs the highest charting kpop song? wow interesting! i really love that song as well, it's their best song since dalla dalla! sophie really did that! the ungodly hour praise my kpop taste was really weird this year. its cuz there were more good full lengths than standout songs. dreamcatcher, gfriend, YUKIKA, etc. 3 hours ago, TheWayWeWere said: Jaguar is so sexy and boppy Ungodly Hour yes, stan. 1 hour ago, bestfiction said: The Shellfish Mademoiselle praise Will go into the previous updates later but I've listened to the Dreamcatcher album and it was very good! Not on the level of 4 Walls/Reboot/Max & Match but close yeah i mean, its not their level, but after a dry spell for a few years it was just what we needed. 1 hour ago, Mark Rih said: Yay at Cool even if it's not even close to being my fave on FN JOAOTDF yes italo disco > we need more italio disco revival, annie was doing it for a hot second too. 1 hour ago, Valtersen said: Yes Rina Yes Top 20 wonder if her album will land top 20! we'll see 57 minutes ago, Blue Rose said: the gays never went into lockdown Rina, RTJ, Jessie Cool is cute but it’s a skip for me cool will have its revenge soon enough! and omg, tell me about it so many gays i know were being so extra. oh well. 57 minutes ago, Kevin2803 said: cool is ... cool Rina + Aly & AJ cool is... KasioKas Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 1 hour ago, Madame X said: 20. dua lipa - cool genre: synth pop for fans of: carly? and cool wins the future nostalgia song contest. its a breezy summery synthpop song, reminiscent of carly in the verses, but thats just a trap to lure you into the huge gigantic most memorable and singalongable chorus of future nostalgia, and theres still barely any disco except maybe the bassline. do we care tho? 17. rina sawayama - xs genre: nu metal, bubblegum pop for fans of: early 00s music this is rina as rina is intended to sound. this is the culmination of her talents, her experiences, and her visions. rina was always a 2001 throwback artist (well, no, but ever since she started gaining fans she was). its got that rnb lite darkchild sound (think no scrubs, britney, etc) meets the extremely guady nu metal of the time (think limp bizkit, korn). love that the song is called xs, makes you think 'extra small' but then it subverts expectations and is talking about the excesses of capitalism, consumer culture, and greed. what i like is that its totally more than just the whole britney+korn forumula that she does with a sweeet chorus and hard verses (or visa versa), she's got both of the influences popping in every 4-5 seconds. Wow see I didn't care for Cool so much, I feel like it grew old at lightning speed for me. XS is a bop!
TheWayWeWere Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Visions is ****ing banger amazing closer La Vita Nuova talent won in the end What's Your Pleasure so hot so sexy
BlackoutZone Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Shellfish Mademoiselle serve absolutely Cool payola again, I love it but, it really isn't what FN stands out with! I thought I've seen you saying XS is overrated as is the whole Pop/Metal-rock fusion trend? Maybe I was wrong, but YES we love this song Super happy to se La vita nuova as Christine's best track cause it really is WYP title track of course flawless Ladees ladees ladees ladees is cute, but I love FUTB for how dynamic and full of anger and frustration it is for its best parts, Ladies takes it all away (still a good song tho) Visions definitely top 3 of HIFN, maybe my fave too I TRIED to get into Shygirl after all this praise here, but she ain't for me
Beyonnaise Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Cool, Visions, La Vita Nuova, Whats Your Pleasure, Don’t Stop The girls really shined this year with that glimmering, fluttery type of sound with a gritty underbelly
Remmy Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Cool is a bit overhyped but still a fun one LITTLE NOKIA + XS visions is great yup! Yeah I'd say it's her best closer. Joan of Arc Too bad it's just a droplet. WYP? I TRIED to get into Shygirl after all this praise here, but she ain't for me [2]
ikiru Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 NOW THAT'S A TOP 10! freak is A MOMENT! visions is iconic, the outro of the song is everything! track 10 is still the superior song but both of them are 10/10s! lick it n split the moment the beat drops is everything, also shygirl saying "connoisseur" is everything! coyote huge stripper anthem! let me skip the fiona song la vita nuova is probably the best collaboration of the year, caroline's verse is angelic! what's your pleasure timeless bop! don't stop is cute checked out the ela minus track, whew love it! siren is my absolute favorite song from alias right now so i'm happy it's at #1
Blue Rose Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Jessie’s title track supremacy Just downloaded Shygirl’s EP
SLIME Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Ok my thoughts on your top 20 first because there is too much quality ITT. Are you on Aderall btw The thing is that Cool always wins over Levitating, it's just science hun. Glad you felt that way too. Lil Nokia is such bonkers avant-pop imo, Charli x Rico would be a good way to approximate it I think yeah. No lie I still can't decide on my favorite Bree song of the year. ...Ok a few acts that are on my list. Beautiful acts... Thanks for reminding me of Easy Breezy cuz I only listened at the start of the year. And I think Bald direction would be nice for Jpeg going forward.
ARTPØP Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Cool & what's your pleasure? Def wanna check out shygirl
Sunderland 4ever Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) I also like the way Fiona repeats Ladies several times in a row. What's Your Pleasure deservedly reaching the Top 5. It's one of my two favorite songs from her record alongside Oh La La. I've heard Visions too and it's alright. Edited December 16, 2020 by Sunderland 4ever
pearlmercury Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 love you top ten choices, rakky ripper is the only one i don't know, will check her later

Bubble Tea Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 7 hours ago, Madame X said: 9. charli xcx - visions i ****ing LOVE the tail end of how im feeling now. so good, all of it. visions, the closing track exceeds track 10 as charli's strongest closer. it builds and grows until it becomes a pseudo industrial noise shitshow at the end. as all albums should end, if you ask me. pulsating charli style synths build and build before that, you know, as all songs should do. finally realizing. Omg yes bitch STAN! This whole album is so good and "Visions" is such a unique track - literally starts so mellow and by the end it's the musical embodiment of asifd;fn'lsakdfn'affndshfuirj like... she literally went off her rocker and SNAPPED.
Green Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 cool, XS, what's your pleasure, don't stop, ladies what's your pleasure is my favorite from Jessie Ware's last album
potent Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Ladies, La vita nuova, and WYP all in a row too bad none of them made the top 3, I honestly haven't heard those songs, not sure if they are for my taste but maybe I'll give a listen Cool was the highest Dua choice I gave it another listen and liked it more than I remembered, but it's not like top 3 on FN imo
smholiv Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Don't Stop :eeveeshook: GREAT position for that, such a fantastic track Visions, XS, Cool, Little Nokia.. you picked some of the GREATEST
