I'm sorry but this image is completely inaccurate.

Ethiopia was never colonized

USSR didn't colonize countries so I don't know why Baltics, Caucasus and the -stans are green

Turkey has also never been under partial European control given the fact that the Ottomans lasted for more than 5 centuries

:bibliahh:

edit: ruling over a country is not always colonization, in the case of USSR/Russia

UK and France and the rest deserve the lashings for the atrocities done in Africa

Well the Ottomans ruled over the Balkans, Middle East and North Africa for more than 6,7+ centuries

Europeans plundered the homeland of my ancestors and probably killed many of them.

European men were a messT

I study genealogy now and Western European men also have the most widespread genomes/gene pools. The community dick of planet earth indeed.

North Korea was occupied by the USSR (which if Russia is a European State on this map, the USSR should be as well) after WWII

Thailand (or Siam as it used to be) should, I think, be coloured as under European sphere of influence. France and to a lesser extent Britain dominated it for many years around the beginning of the last century, with some areas being occupied for substantial periods of time.

It would have flourished into the most advanced civilization in the world. People don’t talk enough about how they were ahead of most people in so many aspects, whether it was socially, hygiene wise, architecture wise, just stood no chance once the diseases kicked in and this is THE only reason they lost.

This map is def exaggerated a bit, just caused they walked through a country in Africa does not mean they conquered it.

If Europe hadn't colonized Central and South America, we would not have Latin American culture.

The African countries that were subject the greatest amount of European colonization also happen to be the African countries with the highest level of human development. Coincidence? I think not.
