Rihanna’s seventh studio album, “Unapologetic”, turns 8 years old today.

AN ERA! :jonny5:

Diamonds.

The song became her 12th #1 single in the U.S at the time, tying Madonna as the second female soloist with the most number ones on the Hot 100 (a feat. which she has since passed and is now only behind Mariah Carey among Female acts).

The single sold over 25M+ units WW and is currently 7x platinum in the U.S (eligible for 8x platinum.

Stay.

The single peaked at #3 on the Hot 100 having been blocked by “Harlem Shake” and “Thrift Shop”. The week succeeding her 2013 GRAMMY performance of the song, it went on to sell over 300K+ units digitally. The single moved over 20M+ units WW and is currently eligible for 9x platinum in the U.S. (It will reach diamond status next year).

Pour It Up.

This was one of the FIRST songs by a mainstream Female act to experiment with Trap music so brazenly and set a precedent for which other (Female) artists followed thereafter. The club anthem peaked at #19 on the Hot 100 and is generally hailed as a classic in her discography.

Love Song really deserved single treatment. Sis could've bagged another hit with that one :jonny4:

If released now, in the streaming era, I don’t even want to IMAGINE the slayage...

It would OBLITERATE Apple Music.

The amount of R&B hits from back then that she could have today.

The whole Nobody's Business was so messy :toofunny3: It's such a bop and could've been an easy hit too

Honestly, the album might not flow but it's such a great collection of songs :clap3:

As it should've been, what an absolute classic and bop, the girls truly weren't and still aren't ready for it. :clap3:

And Get It Over With is a career highlight :clap3:
