Future Nostalgia deserves AOTY most, Agree?

Recommended Posts

Saint Lana

Future Nostalgia is the only album released this year which received universal acclaim and multiple worldwide hits.

Dua's impact on the music scene was huge. She was the flag bearer of 80s disco revival in 2020.:worship2:

She also managed to deliver a full fledged "era" despite the limited opportunities for promotion, due to the ongoing pandemic.

I don't think any other album deserves AOTY Grammy over Future Nostalgia.

Do you agree? :celestial5:

no, since when dropping remixes every month and radio payola (Confirmed by RS article) means you deserve AOTY?

Tay has a big fanbase, but that album is a back-burner. I love listening to it, but it has never got me excited except for maybe on the release date itself.

Future Nostalgia and the visuals, on the other hand :clap3:

Yes, it’s the biggest pop era this year worldwide (at least among females), it’s highly acclaimed especially for a mainstream pop album it is, it’s an ongoing event that keeps feeding us for more than a year now. It’s a massive step up from her debut it would be a perfect nod to the right choice committee made in 2018 by giving her Best New Artist. No other artist is as hard working, as creative and interesting as Dua currently and Studio2054 will be another proof of that. I don’t think she will win, but if she does it would be absolutely deserved.

Weeknd released a deluxe edition of his album, three days after its release. He was adding new songs and remixes each week and no one had a problem with that. Why is it only an issue when it comes to Dua?

And all the Future Nostalgia singles got amazing call outs. And her streaming numbers prove she's the pop girl with most demand at the moment. So radio spamming her songs is understandable :foxaylove3:

No. The Weeknd rightfully deserves it. We haven’t had a black artist win Album of the Year in over 10+ years either.

nope the weekend also do not deserve aoty. he been releasing same songs over and over again since 2015 + his album made no noise other than that one song.

aoty should go to the most acclaimed one without any cheap tactics for a quick semi-hit.

fiona better take it to home.
