Will she even do 100k next week? :rip:Streaming will decline in half and pure sales will be non-existing.

Looking at the way things are going, I highly doubt it. This seems to be performing on par with Dangerous Woman.

Very subpar numbers but that’s what her and her team get for rush releasing it during the election week also while the pandemic enters a second wave. Basically a terrible release schedule is mainly to blame I’d say.

She still delivered quality though and an underperformance won’t change that :clap3:

first week Pure sales (Pop girls last album)

Taylor Swift Folklore 615k

Gaga Chromatica 205k

Halsey Manic 180k

Britney Spears Glory 88k

Christina Aguilera Liberation 62k

Selena Rare 53k

Camilia Cabello Romance 54k

Mariah Carey Caution 43k

Ariana Grande 42k :toofunny3:

Katy Perry 35k

Kesha High Road 35k

Dua Lipa Future Nostalgia 18k

which mean Ariana has little real fans, but lots of casual listeners.

Is Beyoncé not a pop girl now? Her latest album did a whopping 485k.

I believe they kinda knew this album wouldn't do stellar numbers, so they released on this disadvantaged week to have an excuse :toofunny2:

So I guess TUN was her peak.

This is around what it deserves IMO. Makes sense considering the meh material and the busy news cycle.

So officially less than half of TUN's first week. Katy could never decline that fast. Get Max Martin on the phone. Or even Pharrell.

IDK why, but "Or even Pharrell" is killing me.

Not Mariah's Caution outselling in pure.

Terrible numbers for her.

She should be thankful for all the exposure Spotify and AM gives her, otherwise it would've been an actual bomb.

Only 42k fans (actually, less than that considering she had cassettes, 2 alternative covers and fans who bought the album multiple times) that actually cared to buy her record? This is alarming  :deadbanana2:

When a natural decline happens, an artist needs their fanbase to at least have good debuts... so they buy the record even if the album does bad on other metrics. When Ariana's streaming power starts to fade, what will happen to her? I'm curious to Witness.

Well, she still has the #1 album and single from this era. A success, if you ask me. I blame the elections for this kind of underperformance tho.

42k copies is like an average of 840 copies sold in each American state in a week.

Oh my.
I guess some people will now learn that having signed CDs doesn't automatically guarantees an easy rod to massive sales and 8 weeks at #1 week after week. I can now name you dozens of artists who have had many bundles and who have failed to chart for more than 2 weeks let alone 8. Some TALENT sells because they have THE demand first and foremost, not because of existing bundles, If having bundles meant that artists would sell as much as as those who have demand, we’d see 800k+ first week sales every other week. bundles don’t work if you don’t have the DEMEND and T A L E N T.
