I said this before & I'll say it again. I never want to hear from any of you again that Halsey is irrelevant :flower:

Thinking Of You

Babygirl released at the absolute worst time in history :hoetenks:

She can still sell the era though. Sort of like what Bruno did when 24K Magic debuted at #4 on the 200 chart :skull:

Context matters

Most of the albums that sold more would have sold more regardless of bundles. Only ones that would have done less are probably Chromatica, Manic and the Kenney album.

OT: issa mixtape. after every ME comes a focus and after every focus there eventually comes a STS

“In terms of overall equivalent album units earned, Positions has the highest one-week total for an album since bundles stopped factoring into chart and sales rankings.” — Billboard

And Positions was the highest debut since Billboard changed the no bundles rule. Every other one above it benefited from large amounts of bundles.

Chromatica would have still sold 200k

Ariana is the first MAJOR artist to release with the new rule. So of course she’s gonna take the lick. The moment when other artists start releasing and their numbers are even lower y’all won’t be “ki ki kiing” then.

HIGHEST DEBUT EVER SINCE BILLBOARD REMOVED THE BUNDLES.

also Taylor stans need to give it up, we NEVER said that she's doing bigger numbers than "folklore" or that she's going to sell more than "folklore", y'all are a bit delusional there.

as for the rest, wait until y'alls faves release albums with no bundles too and then come back to speak. Some of y'alls faves did WAY less SPS or just a little bit more SPS, with bundles and with at least one big hit behind the album and with the album being released and promoted way before it was released. The numbers are not good, but they're not bad either for the minimal promotion Ariana did and for the terrible week she decided to drop.

132k SEA + TEA is still a respectable figure. thank u, next did 244k with two smash singles already in the bag for example.
