I’m so happy for Anitta achieving her first entry on Hot 100 with “Me Gusta” at #90.

Hope she smashes in USA with her next releases, she deserves it.

Is It early to say “Savage Love Remix” with BTS has a big chance to achieve #1 in the upcoming weeks since Wap or Dynamite will do less than ~350 points?

Is this about me?

No one is pressed here.

ARMY can bulk-buy their faves' garbage music all they want, it wont get them GP support or recognition. People are only here for one k-pop group, they want BLACKPINK.

It will once they run out of remixes and gimmicks to keep this afloat

Everyone has a few thousand fans in the US, not everyone has a number 1 song.

They have almost 30m followers on twitter, their posts get literally 2 million likes within a day. They sold out stadiums everywhere including America.

Even if they don't have GP support (which is wrong because Army is a part of the GP and they are huge. Also because their previous songs fell quickly off the charts, something is clearly clicking with this one), what makes you think it is only a few thousand fans bulk buying it ?

If half the attendees of their 1 STADIUM concert buy the song, they would still be in the top 10. You are all just bitter ?

I don't buy the excuse that only their fan base knows Dynamite. This is the first BTS song I've ever listened to (and enjoyed).

ATRL is pretty delusional when it comes to BTS, they will cling to anything they can to form this narrative. They'll just have to stay mad. :clap3:

I really do like the song and am happy for their success, but this kinda says it all.

I disagree with people calling it "fraudulence" since they're playing by the rules even if to an extreme, but it's very clear that so far, its chart success has been at the very least 75%+ exclusively stan driven (and probably significantly more than that). Only time will tell if this will translate into it becoming an actual hit once they stop releasing new material around the song for fans to consume en masse each week. This is low key kinda like a more extreme version of what Taylor has been doing for folklore but with less GP support and more intense stan support.

Watch the 12yos come screaming your way 'ThE fUmEs, sTaY mAdD!!!1!1!1!' etc etc

This is such a joke lmao

I don't think ppl on here are 12 yo. BTS does have a demo, and as an Asian man, I'm supporting them 100% with all these headlines and media representation. For us, it's more than just a #1, it's seeing someone that look like you on the news achieving something that other ppl have done before.

Super proud of the ARMY to go all out to support this song. They're playing by the rules set to them - there's no fake money involved. Tho i didn't like the additional remixes the last week, I don't think they're doing something that other Western artists cannot do.

They are big within the k-pop community. The GP still has no clue who they are.

This is such bullcrap

This is just as bad as saying an act is big in the "rap community" but the GP doesnt know them. Yall have made it clear that if the whites dont know it, then it doesnt exist. And by chance that you are a POC, you've been indoctrinated to this belief

Whether you like it or not, the K-pop community is huge and to try to minimize their existence and impact is disgusting

The pop community (especially the stan world which is rather large) damn sure knows the song because yall be butthurt for over a month now

I know it's not an official single, but I'm shocked that 911 wasn't able to debut, not even at #100. :biblio: It's a great song with a super great video, so I truly don't understand what happened. :psyduck:

Nicki literally collabed with a PDF file for a #1, which exited the Hot 100 after 4 weeks :priceless: what is this new low you speak of? couldn't make it up :bibliahh:

loving how this is turning into an actual smasha. Though the 'zero streams still #1' analysis is worrying.

That being said I'd honestly be fine if they pulled these strategies/tricks or whatever you call them, they're still trying and making a name for themselves in mainstream America let the guys live geez, they're playing by the rules and doing the best they can to get their name out there as far as possible.

K-pop act BTS' 3 week #1 on the Hot 100 sounds amazing, as a 2011 SNSD stan, who would've thought 9 years later K-pop would finally rule the US charts :jonny5:

maybe that's only thought of with the stans.

This era for gaga isn't really sparking so i'm not surprised at all the song didn't debut. What demand is there for lady gaga on her own in terms of NEW music.

On one hand, it's good BTS isn't pulling 1-20 next week status because it shows music is changing this decade which is good.

But BTS stans don't oversell it. BTS is growing in consistent demand so it's not just stans BUT the stans are the ones buying the extras from their site.

Stanbases will always stanbase.

They are doing what's legit. I expect a rule change soon. The acts taking advantage of the lull in the charts during the pandemic got flack for tactics...the BTS is going to as well.
