At least all of them were able to hit #1 on Hot 100! That's a big achievement on its own as well!

Britney automatically wins bc it was her solo star power that got it to #1. :gaycat5:

Your obsession with Gaga :rip: are you pressed because those ladies have #1 singles in the US and Dua doesn't or what?

6 threads trying to shade Gaga in just one week :biblio: are you ok sis?

Anyway, ROM is the biggest song, went #1 in more countries than the other two and I believe it also spent more weeks in the top 10 of every country.

Oh my god :deadbanana2: Some of those people need their thread making abilities taken away on this forum

OT: ROM > HIAM > cardigan (idk, I mean cardigan spent less weeks in top 10, but Taylor always serves longevitym so this might end up being a bigger hit after all)

Rain on Me >>> Hold it Against Me >>> Cardigan

Can someone post the chart runs to compare? I'm pretty sure Cardigan tumbled down the fastest, and ROM has been the most stable.

Global hit ROM > HIAM which we couldn't even sell 2M in the US in 2011 :rip: and was quite local > Cardigan but the album made up for it so really the order accounting for everything is:

ROM > Cardigan > HIAM

HIAM spent longer on the top ten so I voted it.

ROM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Cardigan

HIAM is the second most frontloaded #1 of all time (only next to TROLLZ)

All of these are #1 hit songs. Something the girl in your avi doesn't possess.

ROM is obviously the bigger hit out of these, it wasn’t a smash but it was a hit. Especially outside of the US.

Cardigan was also a hit though on a small scale.

The other one was a flop.

Not even trying to sound a tiny bit credible. How is Cardigan a hit in any shape or form but HIAM a flop? Do you realize Cardigan went Top 10 in only 7 countries and missed the Top 40 in tons of markets? That Cardigan was Top 40 on the Hot 100 for as many weeks as HIAM was Top 10? :rip:

Little Monsters love acting like ROM is this global hit that's so much bigger than HIAM when it did worse or barely better in international markets too :lmao:

Finland

HIAM: 11 - 1 - 2 - 2 - 7 - 10 - 12 - 17 - 20 - 20 [5 weeks Top 10]

ROM: 8 - 4 - 10 - 14 - OUT  [3 weeks Top 10]

Denmark

HIAM: 1 - 10 - 10 - 13 - 30 - 29 - 24 - 35 [3 weeks Top 10]

ROM: 14 - 14 - 17 - 23 - 29 - 30 - 33 - 38 [0 weeks Top 10]

Sweden

HIAM: 10 - 18 - 09 - 14 - 21 - 20 - 15 - 36 - 39 - 41 - 40 - 33 - 38 - 52 - 59 [2 weeks Top 10]

ROM: 11 - 8 - 15 - 18 - 40 - 38 - 34 - OUT - 35 - 52 - OUT - 64 - 76 [1 week Top 10]

Belgium

HIAM: 01 - 05 - 10 - 18 - 13 - 22 - 17 - 20 - 35 - 47 - 26 - 24 - 37 [3 weeks Top 10]

ROM: 27 - 14 - 30 - 19 - 18 - 24 - 27 - 18 - 15 - 10 - 10 - 17 - 15 [2 weeks Top 10]

Spain

HIAM: 6 - 17 - 28 - 37 - 44 - 39 - 37 - 36 - 41 - OUT [1 week top 10]

ROM: 8 - 24 - 42 - OUT [1 week top 10]

Norway

HIAM: 2 - 3 - 6 - 12 [3 weeks Top 10]

ROM: 7 - 8 - 17 - 19 - 24 - 28 - 30 -  [2 weeks Top 10]

Switzerland

HIAM: 7 - 15 - 31 - 37 - 55 - 38 - 25 - 30 - 38 - 34 - 42 - 57 - 70 [1 week Top 10]

ROM: 5 - 12 - 18 - 23 - 25 - 30 - 32 - 27 - 41 - 48 - 58 - 69 - 75  [1 week Top 10]

Australia

HIAM: 10 - 4 - 10 - 15 - 21 - 26 - 23 - 25 - 31 - 35 - 43 - 47 - 32 - 51 [3 weeks Top 10]

ROM: 2 - 5 - 8 - 11 - 12 - 15 - 14 - 16 - 15 - 19 - 18 - 21 - 22 - 23 - 22 [3 weeks Top 10]

And let's not even get into Asian markets like South Korea where HIAM smashed hard while ROM only went #122 on Gaon or other European markets like France where HIAM went Top 3 while ROM didn't go Top 10  :deadbanana4:

It's absolutely laughable how HIAM is stigmatized on ATRL while ROM is praised as this global hit that was done dirty by the US when its worldwide performance is far from stellar and shaky in a lot of territories.

tldr; Quit being arrogant because HIAM and ROM are cut from the same cloth. :supaspaz:

^ conveniently cherry picking countries saying HIAM is bigger because of top 10 weeks when ROM has better longevity and leaving out UK/Canada where we all know which one was bigger.

How can one possibly think HIAM & ROM are similar sized hits :deadbanana2:

Thank you!! :clap3:

All 3 had a fairly similar fall 2nd week (with ROM the only one that stayed in Top 5), then Cardigan did a free-fall.

ROM and HIAM perform pretty similarly up to the 9th week, then after that ROM is much more stable as seen in the chart run. :gaygacat1:

It got played on all iheart radios every hour for a full day and I've heard it on the radio occasionally up until about 2014. I can't say the same for ROM or Cardigan.
