Two songs with huge expectation, featuring 2 mega stars that hit #1 on Billboard Hot 100.

Which song is the bigger worldwide hit?

Which one was the bigger event?

Which song/video do you prefer?

ROM was bigger, especially worldwide. It went #1 in 14 countries, Bad Blood went Top 10 in 10 countries. ROM went Top 10 in 51 countries.

Bad Blood is probably the bigger event because of the music video / Katy feud.

Rain On Me is my preferred song and video. although the Bad Blood video is good too.

Bad Blood is a bigger and better song from bigger and better artists that won VMAs, Grammys, etc.

Rain On Me is cute throwaway side project for Ariana and Gaga’s last hurrah.

ROM won more VMAs than Bad Blood and may win a Grammy too, we don't know yet.

And you guys have been saying "X is her last hurrah" since the ARTPOP era, and have been proven wrong time and time again.

Nobody cared about the 2020 VMAs :skull: not in the middle of a pandemic, recession, etc. most people probably don’t even know they happened :rip:

Bad blood won biggest award of the VMAs and Grammy which ROM probably won't.

OT : Bad blood and it is not even close. Bad blood has 1.3 Billion views in Youtube alone, will ROM got that from Youtube+Spotify :rip:

Also it was top2 for weeks and 6 platinum.

Writing that Bad Blood won VMA's and when ROM won more the VMA's are suddenly irrelevant.

OGHS there mind:bibliahh:

ROM is an all over radio where I live, couldn't say the same for BB

And If my memory serves, BB only chartered in only one final year ranking (UK) :alexz2:

It was not in Spotify and Youtube streams don't count for many countries. Even for Hot200 at the time.

Holiest Dreams

Well, Bad Blood was an actual hit domestically and performed similarly worldwide despite not being on Spotify (which massively hindered its performance)... so objectively it’s the bigger hit. It was of course a bigger event as well, seeing as people outside of stan culture actually knew about it. Artistry is totally subjective.

She removed it from Spotify in order to increase her digital sales. Radio & downloads also count darling. Bad Blood was a local hit

And digital sales dead in Europe so it had nothing to help it.

It has 1.3 Billion views in Youtube alone, probably more than ROM will have in all platforms but sure, it was local :isudumblmao:

You mean to tell me a song that wasn't on streaming services didn't make the year-end charts of mainland European countries where charts were already heavily based on streaming? Shocked, truly :rip: Doesn't change the fact that despite not being on streaming services, it was in the year-end top 20 of Australia, Canada and the United States, while ROM will be lucky to be in the top 50 :deadbanana4:

Fact is Rain On Me's units will never come close to Bad Blood's. It's nowhere near Bad Blood's overall streams and obviously nowhere near its pure sales. I don't know why you're even trying it with this thread, it's like you are ASKING to be clocked. When will you finally realize what we've been saying all along: Taylor doesn't need your precious European countries to outdo your fave on a global scale :juanny:
