Was ATRL correct about Taylor Swift and Beyonce being local?

Recommended Posts

Savage Remix #52 with the US

#117 without the US

Cardigan #77 with the US

Was ATRL correct that their success is more local based?

No? It proves US is the biggest music market if anything.

Yes. They are ofc not ENTIRELY local, but it's quite obvious most of their success is local.

Their stats are more than 1 song.

I know this is hard concept for some stans to understand when their faves's whole era in life support with 1 single

Also this just shows they are bigger in US compared to outside. You can be huge in US and still be big in WW.

Not being local =/= equal success in US and outside.

Just because you are big in one market does not mean you are not big in other markets.

Using this logic Ed Sheeran and Adele would be local because they are bigger in the UK than other markets or BTS would be local because they are biggest in Korea.

Reputation World Tour only went to the US, Canada, UK,  Australia, NZ and Japan.

Lemonade World Tour: Europe, US, Canada.

If this is global then

Why are some suddenly wanting to acting brave right now?
How many countries are being counted in that "global" chart(s) again? 6? 7? @AvrilLaQueen At least do a bit of research first before you want come at Taylor.

Well most of those numbers being driven by US sales and the places she visited during the tour, which only proved how geographically limited her success has been throughout the years. Though still immense success 20+ years into her career. We love that.

Because one single defines whether someone is local or not?

Taylor was also #1 on the United World Chart last week despite the fact it ignores some of her biggest markets

This angle is so boring and overplayed

You should be doing research on your own henny, 200 territories/countries are being counted, with 6 different country representatives/artists making it to the final Top 10 is the chartdata tweet you're referring to. Some people truly need to work on their reading comprehension skills.
