ughgabriel Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 i know i was supposed to write an album cause i had a concept and everything but i just haven't had the proper time to write however i thought this time around it would be fun to choose the titles first and write the songs from there 1. dryad 2. ruin 3. cabin 4. gravestones 5. vermilion 6. sequoias on fire 7. 1908 8. ritual 9. wither 10. within the woods 11. vermont 12. aliens! i still need to work on it (especially on the last chorus) but i really liked it as a demo the whole aesthetic of the album is based on farm towns, majora's mask and folklore (taylor's impact i guess)
ughgabriel Posted November 15, 2020 Author Posted November 15, 2020 [commentaries on the track would be appreciated]
Dessy Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 And sent. Kinda love this one but it doesn't feel standout to me.

I do like the intensifying(?) around the 4-minute mark. Sounds like we're traveling to somewhere crazier for a bit

ATRL Moderator Ampersand13 Posted November 16, 2020 ATRL Moderator Posted November 16, 2020 I'm so sorry y'all my GRE exam was this week and so was the deadline for my graduate school application. I don't think I'll be able to submit a song and will thus be disqualified. I've had such an amazing time writing with y'all. I love you all so much and thank you to the judges for always providing such thoughtful critiques. Truly, I know it might sound silly but I feel as though I've grown quite a bit as a writer throughout participating. Much love to y'all!
8thPrince Posted November 16, 2020 Posted November 16, 2020 I'm GOING to submit I just need more time to crack this song

I think you will kill it.

Personally in my case I am, which I'm really happy about either way. I've submitted a lot of songs (I think twelve now) but I've been proud of them all which I hope to keep up, this challenge almost got me!!, but it ended up being good.

No but I thought it had a sort of unnerving ambiance to it that would fit well with like a small town with a dark secret that's bubbling just under the surface, which reminded me a lot of Stephen King's work. Maybe not intentional but I love that about it!
