It's inspired by the Ending OST for Emerald, not an actual Pokemon but I'll reach and say it's inspired by Hoppip floating away in the wind (just in case I fail to write a new entry shhh) Spoiler A Bicycle Ride [Verse I] I bought a brand new bicycle for my birthday To take a break from the life I'm living today So I'm having a ride across the countryside Just me, my backpack and my new shiny bike I feel the wind moving with me for the ride Carrying me to a place I wanna be tonight The mustard flowers are riding along with me The yellow fields the only home they ever see [Pre-Chorus] And there's no one in sight And there's no one for miles I feel the wind and ride Towards a place called home [Chorus] And I see myself back in my cozy room Reuniting with the stuff I left too soon I see my Game Boy, the color of faded red And the dusty comic books just lying on the bed I see my childhood book, the one full of fables And my old coin box left unopened on the table I'll count every penny I saved and every dime Then have dinner with Mom like old times [Verse II] I look up to the sky and see white clouds abound Wondering if their home is the sky or the ground I ride on ahead and see a lemon tree by the road When a fruit drops into a brook besides its abode I hear a ringing sound and see red lights ahead A passenger train passes by like a calming tread Carrying hundreds I assume are all homebound When it disappears slowly until I hear no sound [Pre-Chorus] And there's no one in sight And there's no one for miles I feel the wind and ride Towards a place called home [Chorus] And I see myself back in my cozy room Reuniting with the stuff I left too soon I see my Game Boy, the color of faded red And the dusty comic books just lying on the bed I see my childhood book, the one full of fables And my coin box left unopened on the table I'll count every penny I saved and every dime Then have dinner with Mom like old times [Bridge] And there's no one in sight And there's no one for miles I feel the wind and ride But something turns me back To the tree by the brook Laden with yellow fruits So I take a leaf in my hand Then tear it from end to end The fragrance taking me back To the swing in our backyard By the lemon tree just my height And at this moment, I'm home [Chorus] And I see myself back in my cozy room Reuniting with the stuff I left too soon I see my Game Boy, the color of faded red And the dusty comic books just lying on the bed I see my childhood book, the one full of fables And my coin box left unopened on the table I'll count every penny I saved and every dime Then have dinner with Mom like old times
