This is just really great. @Rence SONGS TO THE UNIVERSE I think this is just gorgeous, and do I detect references to some of the works other contestants have done over the seasons? This does a great job of evoking positive poignance, in a way, for me, and I love it. @funnellegs FAIRYTALE OR FABLE I think it’s very interesting to sort of answer the entire season with a question. A unique approach and it worked for me. I really enjoyed the structure you created here.

You knocked it out of the park with this one. I love how this song is very representative of your journey in this competition and, while it describes it perfectly, you give the song another meaning that stands its own ground. Honestly your verses, chorus, everything is so perfect here. This song radiates excitement and something so big and wonderful. It also feels like a celebration of life itself; you encapsulate all of its wonders into one song and it feels like a very triumphant peak for your journey. And at the same time, while its (kinda) conclusive, it makes the reader feel like there is much more to come for your story. Wonderful. songs to the universe Something I’ve always said as judge is that I don’t really mind technicalities. I mean I do take into consideration people’s meter, flow, word choice, rhyme scheme, etc; but if those elements are not perfect or there’s a odd rhyme here and there, I honestly don’t mind as long as the song is good and makes me feel something. I don’t mean that all songs need to be emotional to strike me. Light songs can make you excited (REC and Jawbreaker [also Pop! by Aurora {if you’re seeing this, hi!}] are great examples of this). This song might not be what you normally would deem as one with the most fully fleshed narrative per se, but it is definitely one of the ones I’ve had the pleasure to read that has the most heart within it. This song brings to life what this competition is and it feels like this whole experience is now something tangible, something beyond the virtual realm. You turned this experience into something that now is out there in the universe. This is the first and only song in this gamethat has made me cry. fairytale or fable This song has one of my favorite lines and ideas ever: to think about what happens when the book ends/closes. What will be next for the people in the story? I loved how you took this competition and turned it into a -chapter- of your life. It feels like a very bittersweet conclusion because while it’s sad that things like this usually come to an end, you got some good lessons and healing out of it, and now this experience can go with you, wherever you go. I also loved that inner debate you had in the song where you questioned yourself what is the journey for, what can you learn from it and what is there to do after the destiny is reached. I think this is an excellent closing song for the season from your [character’s] perspective.
