With Harry Styles recently topping the Hot 100 with "Watermelon Sugar", he becomes part of a unique chart record.

One Direction have now becomes the 5th band to have two of it’s members top the Hot 100 as soloists.

Interesting, both One Direction & The Fugees have had members top the Hot 100, despite the respective never doing so.

George Harrison, Ringo Starr, John Lennon & Paul McCartney (The Beatles)

Is it the first one to hold this record while also never achieving a #1 of their own?

No. The Fugees didn't have a #1 as a group but Lauryn Hill & Wyclef Jean had #1's

Killing Me Softly peaked at #2 on radio, but it wasn't released as a physical single in the US so it was ineligible to chart on the Hot 100 (like for example Don't Speak, Lovefool, Men In Black, etc.)

if Motivation went #1 like it deserved...

Love Lies probably could’ve go #1, it had strong streaming, sales & radio but never at the same time. A “worth it” / “redbone” tea
