Billie Freefalling on Apple Music . Why?

Jay T

Recommended Posts

It’s a boring song. Not as bad as the Bond theme, though. I’m wondering if she’s putting out dull music so she can get a little less popular & therefore less of a target for scrutiny. Don’t think she wants to win all those Grammys again, this is a good way to make sure she doesn’t

Apple Music : my future (#11)(-6)

I guess the public really wasn’t feeling it .

Hi OP. The song was #10 not #11.
I know you're NOT very familiar with songs REBOUNDING or GOING UP but

can you try to update the OP.

Bilie's Single is REBOUNDING at AM with #9 (+1).

I would hope so with the huge radio deals and playlisting. It's her first new release in nearly 6 months, but of course it will be called a gift for the fans because it's flopping and getting awful reception.

It’s unclear whether “my future” is a standalone release or taken from a larger forthcoming project. There’s been no word on a new album, the follow-up to full-length debut WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, but it’s not as though Eilish has been dormant.

The single was announced like a few days before its release date

P/s: the song is no way single-material anyways

we're in the STREAMING AGE where artists release DROPLETS to keep the fan-base engaged
Since it is VERY easy to be left behind and HUGE era gaps are DAMAGING and UNNECESSARY

but this notion is NOT able to get inside this usual suspect's THICK head.
Not every DROPLET has to be a LEAD single.

A girl sitting in top10 on all streaming platforms is something draggable

while their own favs aren't able to survive 3 weeks on charts.

She had a huge first era so the bar is set very high for her to deliver something just as amazing

She'll soon go up since the song is getting spammed on Radio. Her payola power is bigger than every other pop girl ever

She'll outstream all your faves, continue to seethe.

Y’all always overreact to everything. Her album’s gonna smash because it’s impossible for it not to. Her whole brand was built on and thrives off built-in hype (for GP) and an image woven into Gen Z who strongly connects and who’ll ride with her till they at least come into adulthood and consider other things that speak to them then. The huge payola she’s benefited from plus influenced media will help keep her hugely successful. She’s the industry’s darling and will continue to be. The industry has a vested interest in her staying successful. All these forces would make it impossible for her to “flop” lol, except in an unlikely event that she does something that puts her so out of favor with the GP that shoving her down their throats wouldn’t work at all, which is super unlikely. Not even Camila is even near that level and she was a whole exposed racist.

It takes at least a few years to start to see any notable decline for an artist this big, depending on how often an artist releases and how much they’re pushed in the public eye.

OT: Its a bad song. She should go back to making upbeat music and switch up her vocal delivery and work with people who arent her brother.

Still #1 on US Spotify which is extremely stable and also a very good sign.

Though I do wonder what she’d sound like with another producer.

Oh wow...the truth in this post. It’s also the stans of artists who can’t chart in the Top 10 longer than 6 weeks that have a lot to say as well.

I'm bookmarking this. ATRL has a tendency to blow its load saying something is a flop way ahead of time and then having it backfire on them like  someone smack them in the face.

This is one of those times.

Did I lie tho? It went top 10 in the US and is platinum eligible. It's def an underperformance tho. I def didn't see it doing the worst of all the singles of the album but I still stand by saying something is a flop just 2 Days after release is dumb as hell.

Also who waits a year and a half to response to a post? :rip:
