Some of ya need to look up what aspiration means.... :rip:

Aspiring doesn't mean she wants to be just like her.

She wants to enable some of the qualities Madonnas had during her career.

Stay in school ya. :rip:

Shes gonna have to work way harder. By Madonna second album, she was a household name. Dua isnt on the level yet. She also needs way more hits globally.

Ill say that Gaga was the closest one in the last 10 years.

He already told this story,

but glad to know again that she's open about her influence and she doesn't hide/deny it unlike certain people.

Girl stuf and read the comment above you.

She doesn't have to have exactly the same career as M, that's not the point.

You can see that she works really hard. Her music since she blew up is always of good quality, she delievered with videos and clearly improved her performing skills dramatically. And the amount of DSN live performances :rip:

I hope she gets to be as successful as Madonna :clap3: But that's a one-in-a-lifetime kind of person

Yes, and she needs to work harder to have what made Madonna who she is. You know how hard Madonna had to work as a woman during that time?

What boundaries that Madonna pushed is she going to push? She is so milquetoast, Madonna is anything but.

I get being influenced and being aspired to be as big of a (female) popstar as Madonna, but her legacy wasn't just releasing music that charted well, having a long career and a big discography. It was way more than that.

The thread titles should be short, impactful and kinda misleading to get people's attention and clicks, so stay in marketing school dahling

Madonna really just was the perfect storm of personality, drive, talent (as both an artist and businesswoman), and timing!! I think in the streaming era it is 1,000,000x harder to have that level of impact. I think Dua is on track to be one of the biggest pop girls of her generation but getting to Madonna's level is going to be near impossible. I think nowadays even Madonna wouldn't be able to replicate that level of success.

I did call this a few months ago. The precision and effort that went into creating a distinct look/style/sound for the FN era screams Madonna, who had clear distinct 'characters' for each era.

There is only one Madonna. There will never be another Madonna. I like Dua but would planet Earth even exist by the time she releases her 3rd or 4th album?

Right Now

Honestly the improvement in ALL aspects from her previous era is quite impressive tbh. If she continues to perfect her craft, I could see it.
