Brandy - 'B7'

top 3 for me at the moment are lucid dreams, borderline, and say something.

i don't think this album is her best for me but it's definitely not trash either. i'd give it another chance tbh if you didn't like it as much at first.

and i take back what i said about the creative runs thing because i was on some bullsh*t lol her runs were very creative on this album

Uninspired album title, cute album cover.

so upset about this title damn :( ....would've preferred '7' if she wanted to just be lazy ...oh well

She's just capitalizing on Beyoncé's B7 which made headlines last year (while she was making this album) when someone posted a fake entry on Genius. She wants to confuse her album with Bey's. Lame tactic, but I can't blame her.

This album is deff a grower and serves quality, stop being a basic f0-m0 and give it a couple more listens from start to finish, it's amazing and definitely better than your fav white girls' efforts (dula peep et co)

I have warmed up to this album a lot over the last few months. The only song I don't care for at all is "Baby Mama".

“A limited-edition physical copy of "B7" on CD”

I wonder what’s going to be special about it. It’s not going to be autographed.

anybody have any info on this?

She's been calling it B7 since 2017 :deadbanana:

I hope the Say Something performance could indicate it will be the 3rd single. The album deserves another top 10 UAC hit.

I think Say Something could be the biggest radio hit of the 3 actually

Still surprised this album got a mixed reaction when it came out. I loved it on first listen and still do. The way some of the tracks are not as “instant” works in its favour since it only gets better with time and is worth revisiting.

That's true, it's now my 3rd favorite album for hers :rip:

I hope it is. That 1-2-3 punch of Borderline / No Tomorrow / Say Something was the savior of B7 honestly for me.

It's not that I think it's a BAD album per say.....I just wasn't grasping it. It wasn't great like her last 6. So many aspects of the album like production, arrangement of songs, I just wasn't following it much. Idk. But B7 definitely has high highlights that deserve to be charting.

The fact she got ZERO Grammy nominations though is poor on the Grammys part. They could've nominated her for Best Traditional R&B at the least. Damn....

I knew she would be. That's The Phony's reputation. But give a nomination once again to Beyonce for a stand alone single and Brandy is just as established. But oh, they'll give a nomination with Daniel Caesar while Caesar was out there raccoonin his pants off. I swear this world...

Regardless of the unforgivable Grammy snub, this has been a great era for Brandy. B7 has really solidified her as the legend she is.

She has been everywhere this year:
Verzuz Battle

Billboard Music Awards

BET Hip Hop Awards

Soul Train Awards

Good Morning America

Census performance

The Talk

And tomorrow is the Pandora concert with Summer Walker
