Your topic, for starters, was very interesting. I wanted to see conceptual ideas in this round because it was practically begging for it, and you delivered. I actually wish that I hadn't seen the short film because it warped my perception of your entry. I basically saw it as a rhyming transcription of what took place, but the short film is not very blunt. It's actually very open in its perception, so this was you writing a song from how you perceived the film to be. I really enjoy people being inspired by works and making something of their own. I do think you maybe took a bit too much from it, and that's why my opinion leaned on the negative side, but judging you for things outside of your entry is admittedly biased and harsh. I want to touch on your word choice here: I actually REALLY appreciate it. I'm all for pushing the boundaries of what constitutes a rhyme, and to me, it makes things feel more natural when it's not so elementary, so choices such as "alterations/conversation" and "follow/models" were a positive for me. The thinner/trigger line was honestly a highlight to me, because it wasn't an expected rhyme, yet to me, makes perfect sense. The thing that irks me with this entry, though, is some times I don't like the way you presented an idea. It's been mentioned a couple times already in past reviews, but the "don't tell clients they'll lose their brain" part could've been expressed better. It's a good rule of thumb that if you feel the need to add an annotation at the end of your song telling people to not get the wrong idea about your line, that it's not a good line and should be changed. Also, let me touch on the bridge while we're here: there's a mention of "you" - so who is "you" in this song? In the short film, we're seeing Ms. Nervosa's story, but you mention her in the song first. Which affliction is "you"? That's something we don't see here, and I think it's important for the bridge, which is a huge turning point for the entry seeing as you reveal the twist from the short film there. You have a good concept and nothing is technically bad, but you executed some things in ways that I think sound better in your head than on paper...or on screen, I guess.
