Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles," featuring Gucci Mane, and Migos' "Bad and Boujee," co-starring Lil Uzi Vert, topping the Billboard Hot 100 within the past three months not only put rap's young upstarts into the pop-culture spotlight, it also signals a trend on the list: chart-toppers that use alliteration with the letter "B."

Poke around the chart archives and the first alliterative "B" track belonged to country star Jimmy Dean, who ruled the list in November 1961 with his self-penned hit "Big Bad John." Over the next six decades, similar entries sprinkled the list courtesy of Neil Sedaka, Taylor Swift and Destiny's Child, among others.
