Welcome back to The Challenge Zone for Round 5! I am upset that all the teams have been dissolved and I'm sure you are all devastated as well. We saw three contestants get booted from the competition yesterday (with one valiantly giving up their spot). I guess with all this sadness, one can not help but yearn for a laugh.

 

ROUND 5 - THE COMEDIAN

 

In this round, contestants must submit to me the funniest Vine that they have ever seen. Whilst only seven seconds long, these nuggets of comedy are a surefire way of healing my sorrow. Seems simple enough, but I'll be throwing a little spanner in the works.

 

There are 14 of you remaining. However, only 8 of you will submit Vines. The other 6 will need to co-sign any of the 8 submissions. The co-signing members will receive the same score as the member who submitted the video.

 

For example:

SUBMISSION: 8/10

2 people co-sign: 16/20 (8/10 each)

Total for this submission 24/30

 

All 6 of you can co-sign the same entry. All 6 of you can co-sign different entries. Obviously, you need to co-sign the vine that you believe will receive the most amount of points. Will you strive for victory or nudge your comrades into the path of defeat? Remember, The Mole is lurking and it is their job to make sure you lose.

 

For the 8 contestants who need to submit a vine, please discuss potential options and make a final decision by posting the submission in the thread (in the form of either a Vine video or a YouTube clip) and tagging me. Once you have done this, there is no turning back. Once I have all eight videos, I will give the co-signers time to discuss and determine which video/s they wish to each co-sign. Obviously this challenge is extremely subjective. To help you, I will reveal a very little tidbit about my sense of humour. My favourite Vine ever (which cannot be submitted) is "Oiling Gone Extreme".

 

As there are 14 of you and each submission will be rated out of 10, there is a possible 140 points up for grabs. To win this challenge, a total of 112/140 points or more must be reached. If you receive a score of exactly 112/140, you will win $10,000 Mole money each, plus an extra $1,000 for each point higher (e.g. 119/140 = $17,000 Mole money each). My favourite entry will either receive $30,000 Mole money and a freebie or an exemption (this includes any contestant that co-signed the entry, but the submission must receive at least 9/10). 

 

If you manage to exceed the target, only one contestant will be eliminated. If you fail this challenge, two people will be eliminated.

 

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. There is no need for PMs this round. All communications should be done in the thread and this includes discussing what videos to submit, posting potential entries to get opinions and making official submissions.

There is no competition here. You're all working together!

That's correct! Everybody is working together towards that score of at least 112/140! Sending in a poor entry is dangerous, and co-signing such is even worse as it affects everybody. The Mole is a collaborative game in nature, but you're all trying to make it to the end individually. There is a massive potential for sabotage, even from regular contestants that are not The Mole!
