More Than Meet the Eyes: she was trying to give you quirky idol but the whole thing is a bit too quiet so it fades into the background. I like it, still.

Singing in the Rain by LOONA (Jinsoul) - I have a love/hate relationship with this song, I do find it highly overrated x

Posted

Dolerme: As a Charli XBOX slut, I live for this little acoustic and autotuned moment.

Rola - Zero Fcks (Germany)

It's a bit basic but a bop. I will give it some points.

Iza, Ciara and Major Lazer - Evapora (Brazil)

I like it. It's a typical Major Lazor song.

Shakira - Tú (Colombia)

Boring.

Alizée - Alcaline (France)

Ew. I hate it.

Sigur Rós - Viðrar vel til loftárása (Iceland)

Jup this is horrible. I almost fell asleep.

IU - Jam Jam (South Korea)

I might give this one some points. I need to listen to the other K-Pop songs first tho.

Kali Uchis - Nuestro Planeta (feat. Reykon) (U.S.)

I like it.

Red Velvet - I Just (South Korea)

Meh... not sure about this one.

Fuel Fandango - Despertaré (Spain)

I like it. It tries to be a vibe I guess.

Yubin - Lady (South Korea)

Reminds me of an anime theme song.

Poupie - Ne m'invite pas (France)

I like her tone. The production is nice.

Loreen - Under Ytan (Sweden)

Boring but I kind of like it.

Shakira - Inevitable (Colombia)

Too boring  for my taste. Also, I feel like Shakira is too safe of a choice. The same goes for Tú

Danna Paola - Dos Extraños (Mexico)

I can give this some points I guess.

Bad Gyal - Fiebre (Spain)

Yaaaas. I love it.

Selena - Amor Prohibido (U.S.)

Ok.

Natti Natasha - Obsesión (Dominican Republic)

I guess this will get some points.

Gold: I'm loving how it has a ballad feel but taken to a more dynamic midtempo form. Her vocals are nice, even if she doesn't have that much range.

Prenderemos Fuego al Cielo by Francisca Valenzuela  - The first few seconds of this song was really underwhelming but it got better while the song progressed

GOT7 - I Won't Let You Go

• this was going good until that 2nd verse hit :biblio: miss ma i-

the chorus is okay. i hope that's enough to have you points

Posted

Mama Was Een Klootzak: the vocals aren't cute at all, but the vibe of the song, I do like.

Posted

Alice Vicious - C'mon

• her vocals is not it but i kinda bopped to this until that guest rap verse :biblio: can k-pop stop being this formulaic?!? if so they will be following the formula, i wish it's done well.

Posted

I Belong in Your Arms: the scream... I see where Charli got the idea to have Caroline emulate a Texas Chainsaw Massacre victim in 'Tears' from.

More Than Meets The Eyes by Kamin - Minus points for making me go to Google Drive jk, while the verses did nothing for me I really loved the build up of the song going forward to the chorus x

Posted

ROSALÍA - Dolerme

• is this the best you can find for ha? ma'am isso boring. i believe miss ma has better material. kbye.

Posted

Eclipse: Like I said, I love these synths regardless of song content. It helps the song is good on its own, though.

Posted

Hyomin - GOLD

• i like the midtempo attack to this song. her vocals ain't the strongest but miss ma knows how to use it well to emote.

Posted

Pour Quel Amour by Kate Ryan - I did finish listening to the song so thank me later,  I really wanna give this song a spot coz of how predictable some of the songs that were sent but let's see later  x

Well, my song is PANNED :rip:

Roxeanne Hazes - Mama was een klootzak

• let me just say that dutch is one of the languages i find very funny because of the abundance of gluttal/throaty sounds. now that being set aside, this a bop.

Kali Uchis: never understood the hype around the artist song.

Posted

Chairlift - I Belong in Your Arms

• the scream i let out. i wished i snatched this song. this feels a bit cop out but kinda genius when you think about it. i love the english version of this song when i first heard it in VL and this version is actually a bit better given that the song is inspired by j-pop. still tanking this because i wish i had this nope not really love this a lot xoxo

Baby Don't Play: On the one hand I like elements of it, on the other, it sounds awfully three decades too late and not in a good throwback way. The bridge is puzzling.

Posted

Kim Lip - Eclipse

• stab tuna! anyhow this linda generic but good kind of generic. better than some of the other k-pop songs.

Si Una Vez: timeless in the way it sounds absolutely rooted in a specific timeframe, moreso because of Selena singing it... this is what you whipped up on weddings at the turn of the 21st century. Obviously esta perra has a soft spot for it.

Posted

Kali Uchis - Solita

• thank you college spanish elective course. i can understand this song quite well. that being said, the production is nothing groundbreaking. i actually get late 90s/early 00s a la santana/enrique iglesias vibes from this. i like it but not falling head over heels for it.

Triángulo: Ummmmmmmmm this sounds too much like a generic acoustic good-looking male singer (or group in this case, apparently) debut single. I've heard it a million times, and it's not exciting. Oh wait it does have female vocalists, eh.
