If you're only looking at debut weeks, then yes. Otherwise, males have been dominating just as hard. "Blurred Lines" has the record for most 400k+ selling weeks. Out of the top 10 best selling digital singles in the US, 7 are songs by male artists :rip:

Best Selling Singles in the US:

1. I Gotta Feeling

2. Rolling In The Deep

3. Party Rock Anthem

4. Radioactive

5. Somebody That I Used To Know

6. Thrift Shop

7. Uptown Funk

8. Call Me Maybe

9. Cruise

10. Blurred Lines

Didn't Jordan Smith or some contestant from The Voice opened with over 200k+ with a song about Jesus or something?

Edit: He opened with 161k with a cover of "Mary, Did You Know?" http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6814244/jordan-smith-the-voice-chart-history-hot-christian-songs

"Hello" ended up being the bigger single, selling more and getting more awards :1stplace:

Hopefully Eminem's next lead opens with 300k and makes this list.

This list is a mess... half the songs not being solo :toofunny3:

But still a duet isn't an accurate measure of the solo artist's selling power aka IDWLF
