Comments: My interpretation of this emoji is like.. something goes wrong and you are expressing like UGH through this tbh. It just has this pained expression like why did that happen but I’m going to keep on smiling even though it sucked. So overall, these are not great entries for this emoji! Clueless and Gateau definitely hit this the closest for me. That mix of emotions is important here. Praying is kind of like the rebound after the “ugh” moment I was talking about earlier so I guess it gets a cute #3 ranking. Here Comes the Sun doesn’t make sense to me… but it’s not as bad as Paper Rings. Alena WTF happened here?

1. dussymob - I think Praying and Here Comes the Sun have a similar message in the sun peeking through the clouds in a way, almost like a light out of the tunnel - the happy release. Idk, maybe it’s being cooped up in my parents’ house getting to me, but I think this works perfectly.

2. Touch It - This is more of what I was thinking for the round, and it’s definitely a happy emotional release, so well done.

3. Gateau - I’m going in reverse order when ranking, but see Clueless’ critique. It’s just conflicting feelings leaping onto each other, and I get that WHY you two submitted it, but I don’t get that when I see the emoji.

4. Clueless - So, let me preface this by saying that I absolutely LOVE this song, and it’s my favorite one in this emoji, but it’s not about whether I like it. I totally get where you were coming from with this choice, but I don’t really get happy emotions but rather confliction.

5. Alena - this...isn’t it at all. Paper Rings is happy, joyous, but not something that would make you tearful. It needs happy emotions. 

Comments: For me, whenever I see this emoji, I think of someone being happy and crying, aka happy tears - like a military reunion or something.

Comments: clue(less) and ghetto’s pretty much nailed it for this emoji. For dussy, its very intersting and i can see how it can be used to describe this emoji. Nick, i guess thats a reach but werk. And alena, i’m a confusion!

China’s song is super fun but a bit generic for me. And then Alena sis IDK what’s happening in this challenge for you but it’s another 5 from me.

1. Clueless - EVERYONE wanted this song for good reason, but you clinched it in 10 minutes. Praise, sir, praise - you did that!

2. dussymob - Honestly, I did an instant groan when I saw you submit the song because it’s more, BUT I was wrong because it does work pretty well since it’s basically talking about politicians being emotional, soulless zombies.

3. Touch It - I mean...it’s not bad????? Idk it’s better than the bottom 2.

4. Gateau - You did try and submit Thriller, but I don’t really think this fit that well at all.

5. Alena - So I get that the song is called a zombie, but a zombie isn’t someone trying to rip another’s clothes off.

Comments: the top 3 are pretty much a slayage. I’m confused about ghetto’s choice tbh, well at least the song mentions the kingdom of dead, the darkness, etc. but yeah thats it.

Comments: Weird entries. Touch It’s song was definitely the most on point for me as she was basically weighing her options on the scale. Alena finally rising a bit this round whew! Yours was a strong back and forth discussion. I liked the idea of dussy’s song tbh with the guy taking the weight bit by bit. Kangaroo Court was fair. Poetic Justie was a big miss lyrically.

1. Gateau - Honestly, this got the edge for me mainly because there’s that acceptance of fate, which is like equilibrium.

2. dussymob - A lot of weight this guy is carrying. However, I think he’s at peace with what he’s doing, especially at the end.

3. Touch It - I wouldn’t necessarily say there’s a balance here, but rather constant shifts.

4. Alena - I’d say similar to Touch It, but he doesn’t really seem to like her and seems to be explaining the point of the balance in a relationship.

5. Clueless - This is my favorite track in the group, but it has nothing to do with balance at all, for me.

Comments: Yeah, this one was really difficult. Truly, based on the lyrics, nobody really fit what I was looking for, which was essentially a balancing act of sorts, but since the scale is in equilibrium, how it ultimately can be successful OR it’s an acceptance of sorts. Honestly, the top 4 were all contenders, but what edged the top 2 for me was the acceptance/equilibrium part.

Comments: YAS Alena you finally did that! My interpretation of this emoji was definitely like whew she’s working out but she also has her legs OPEN. Ready to do a split xx. Clueless gets points too for that. I see where Ghetto was going with this one since a cartwheel expresses vitality and a carefree energy. Dussy’s choice was fair but it didn’t really feel like the emoji was represented despite the chorus involving “working out”. Nick missed the mark for me this time.

1. Gateau - This literally fits what I was thinking of completely because she’s literally carefree and saying that she’s ALIVE! I don’t really get what the other judges are saying here in the slightest. 

2. Alena - Sexercize and Physical are very similar, but the difference for me was Kylie talking about getting “stretch[ed]” out.

3. Clueless - Classic. Is it fully my definition though? Not quite??

4. Touch It - Um...confusion, but it kinda fits my definition but barely.

5. dussymob - This kills me because I absolutely LOVE this song, but I don’t think it works here because Cole’s trying to see if this girl is really into him or what.

Comments: It’s funny because when Element and I were talking before he gave the round to you guys, I said my definition of this was: “Woman cartwheeling could be about feeling carefree,” so that’s what I’m doing here!

Comments: If you look up the waxing crescent moon, it is right after the moon is at its darkest and the light is starting to reappear. I am surprised that none of you tried to send The Light Is Coming hahah. First of all, I need to say that I am TIRED of the massive payola the song After Hours has been getting in the Games section. If I have to see it one more time!! However, the theme of reconciliation from your darkest times does work thematically for this emoji. Dussy’s song is actually pretty good too, but it feels as if she is farther into the light… this moon represents just starting. Ghetto’s chorus works fairly well here. Alena’s is cute and mentions the mysterious nature of the moon. Nick a BOMB. way too positive.

1. Clueless - Great choice! I would NEVER have thought of this in the slightest, but I think it fits how the light is coming in slowly but still recognizing the dark times (featuring Ed Sheeran).

2. dussymob - I think this one works actually mainly because she’s seeing the light coming through but still recognizing the dark. However, I think After Hours edges it out because the waxing crescent is on the precipice of becoming a full moon, and this feels more like a half moon.

3. Gateau - Also all over the place and hella dark with a lil light.

4. Alena - I think this is fine, but it’s definitely all over the place.

5. Touch It - I’m sorry, but nope. I think this is like a bright ass sun honestly.

Comments: So when I see this, I’m thinking something like the light coming back into the picture from the darkness, albeit while recognizing the darkness.

Comments: i feel like the songs that are about the new day or etc. are not iT. The waxing crescent moon is not close to the full moon at all so i’m a bit confused by that. For me, its like something very dark and clueless did that.

Comments: now, some of these choices… confused me. When i see the waxing crescent, i see the beginning of a story that has yet to unfold. It comes directly after new moon, which is the beginning of an entirely new phase. It’s the beginning of a story - in the sense, a waxing crescent is the rising action. Clueless has a song that makes it feel very dark and when you hear the lyrics, if you’re looking at it from a narrative, it’s in the middle if not beginning of a long story. It isn’t a beginning and it isn’t an end. As for the rest of you, i expected better, i’m not gonna lie.

i think that i just have a very strong desire to compete and have fun with this whole thing (something the other girls don't seem to possess?) and i stand out because of that. and yeah, I think i'm probably gonna be voted out because no one is talking to me despite me reaching out to some people and me saying publically for them to DM me.

 

I think its kinda dumb, because I don't see myself as a threat to win AT ALL if you do the math on the jury votes, but when the other people are playing based on friendship... what can you really say?

 

I urge anyone who wants to make a real MOVE and add something to their resume to contact me. I'm obviously up for anything, girls x

Do you find that you have learned lessons about yourself and dealing with others during this season that you will take with you after the game is over?

 

It's good to stick out in a game like this I'm sure it means I will have the most distinct edit when we look back at the season. With real life I feel like I'm really good with understanding different groups of people and fitting in. I just be myself by making people laugh and being compassionate. As for what I've learned. I learned that it can get really hard to make decisions when you have so much love for everyone. I didn't want to hurt anyone and every vote out from the entire merge has been difficult. Well i didn't really think too much for that one but i felt like Paper Rings was cute cuz it was such a happy and joyfull song that you could be so happy in that moment you'd shed a tear? it made sense in my head :kii2:
