So based off of streams alone, SNS is eligible for 6x platinum, and with sales it’s basically 7x platinum

I-

Can you post the calculations?

895,000,000/150= 5,966,666 + 1,000,000 pure sales = 6,966,666. Add in video streams and it is well above 7,000,000 :fan:

the 895M already counts video streams, which the RIAA won't count all of.

I believe they are already counted just music videos and oficial videos in Youtube are divided by a different number than 150, Youtube do counts, it didn't counted for albums but now it does

Maybe i'm wrong you are more experinced than i, Selena's sales thread is dead now lol mods need to give us a solution like fuse the old thread with a new one to edit the first page

The chart-making media company (Billboard) currently weights streams according to two categories — on-demand (Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube) and programmed (Pandora).

I think that refers to Youtube Music, their paid plataform.

this article also says:

"The Hot 100 includes video plays, while the Billboard 200 does not."

"Under the new system, Billboard's streaming classification model will weight paid subscription-based services or tiers higher than purely ad-supported services (like YouTube)."

"will be calculated based on paid subscription streams, ad-supported streams and programmed streams"

“On-demand” services like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube (including video streams) count for more than “programmed” streams like Pandora‘s radio service.
