P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Yet another countdown with the best videos by P!nk from the decade 2010-2019. Many classics are in the countdown. Coming shortly...
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #10: SECRETS ALBUM: BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA YEAR: 2018 DIRECTOR: ALECIA MOORE & LARN POLAND P!nk has directed at least one video before for a band in 2006/07 so this field is not entirely new to her. What I like about this video is the dancing and the stretching backgrounds. It gives that video a psychedelic feel. And the dancing of Jeremy Hudson and Khasan Brailsford is incredibly sexy. Plus P!nk looks really hot and shows a feminine figure. For a low budget video they went with the best possibilities.
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #9: RAISE YOUR GLASS ALBUM: GREATEST HITS ...SO FAR!!! YEAR: 2010 DIRECTOR: DAVE MEYERS You can tell that this is a typical Dave Meyers production. But not in a bad way. We see P!nk pulling off around 12 or 13 different looks, finding herself in weird situations like waking up next to a nun or a priest or wrestling with a strange Monopoly guy. The video like the song celebrates every situation in life. A nice addition to her videography and her Rosie the Riveter impression looks iconic.
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 (edited) #8: WALK ME HOME ALBUM: HURTS 2B HUMAN YEAR: 2019 DIRECTOR: MICHAEL GRACEY One could say the video looks pretty simple but it's not. Directed by Michael Gracey who's responsible for The Greatest Showman, P!nk has been moved around by her dancers from one spot to another. My favorite moment in the video is the close up we see of her and then she starts dancing again. Edited December 31, 2019 by P!nk Forever
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #7: F**KIN' PERFECT ALBUM: GREATEST HITS ...SO FAR!!! YEAR: 2011 DIRECTOR: DAVE MEYERS P!nk only plays the story-teller and only has a short cameo in the video as a visitor in an art exhibition but that does not shy away from the wonderful acting by Tina Marjorino who plays the central character. We see her in different life situations both played by herself and younger actresses, see the struggles she had gone through, but in the end she found the man of her dreams and some success.
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #6: JUST GIVE ME A REASON ALBUM: THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE YEAR: 2013 DIRECTOR: DIANE MARTEL The video looks pretty classic on its own. While I still wish she had a different duet partner the scenes of her and Nate interacting are well thought out. The whole bed on the water scenery looks beautiful and so do the underwater scenes. There's a romantic kiss between her and husband Carey and the bear with the glowing eyes is a pretty cute extra. What else can one wish for?
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #5: WHAT ABOUT US ALBUM: BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA YEAR: 2017 DIRECTOR: GEORGIA HUDSON A blockbuster of a video. The choreography is rich with incredible dance skills by P!nk and her dancers. The whole locations in the diner or the desert hand out a beautiful dark atmosphere to a serious political statement that is this song. It was such a strong comeback to the 5 year hiatus she had to take.
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #4: BLOW ME (ONE LAST KISS) ALBUM: THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE YEAR: 2012 DIRECTOR: DAVE MEYERS I still pity the release of the black and white version before the color one. God knows what they were thinking putting that out. In color it's much more intense. It doesn't need all those effects but okay. I love P!nk's different looks throughout the video - the first one in particular. The blood rain is of course the highlight in this video.
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #3: JUST LIKE FIRE ALBUM: ALICE: THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS O.S.T YEAR: 2016 DIRECTOR: DAVE MEYERS Dave Meyers went all in with this video. The fact that several P!nks on a chessboard are fighting out is already intriguing enough. The story itself is also genius. P!nk is having daydreams while spinning around which turn into hallucinations until in the very end she discovers the Red Queen and gets carried away in a straitjacket while her husband is signing the papers. You can't do it better than that.
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #2: BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA ALBUM: BEAUTIFUL TRAUMA YEAR: 2017 DIRECTOR: THE GOLDEN BOYZ You can quite compare this video with U + Ur Hand. P!nk is serving looks, having trouble with her man (and incredible scene partner Channing Tatum) and dancing around like a pro. I love the colorful vibe and overall production of the video. Especially with the credits in the end it feels like a Jonâs Akerlund video if one wouldn't know.
P!nk Forever Posted December 31, 2019 Author Posted December 31, 2019 #1: TRY ALBUM: THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE YEAR: 2012 DIRECTOR: FLORIA SIGISMONDI Floria Sigismondi has always been a great director. I love Christina Aguilera's "Fighter" video or several videos she directed for Marilyn Manson. You can tell she's living her art. P!nk is in a complicated relationship with her partner Colt Prattes and dances it out with him. We see color bombs, a mattress and chairs being thrown around - all in play with colors. The post-apocalyptic world around them looks pretty atmospheric. Truly the best P!nk video of the decade.
rvx Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Try + Blow Me (One Last Kiss) + Just Give Me A Reason + What About Us + Secrets
TheWayWeWere Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 JLF CGI's were a bit messy FP should've been higher Try is classic tho
Remmy Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 For a second I thought this was a list of the OVERALL best music videos of the decade so I was pretty surprised to see Secrets at #10 The whole top 7 is nice, FP & WAU could be higher though
P!nk Forever Posted January 3, 2020 Author Posted January 3, 2020 I guess tastes vary. I think Perfect would had taken a Top 3 spot for me had P!nk been the main actress in it.
EnterTheAttic Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 Loved all of those! I didn't think Secrets was as bad as people said it was, but it did deserve a high budget music video. Try is indeed still very powerful and her best video this decade.
