My first time ever attempting to do decade lists!  I'm still not very prepared for this but we'll see

what happens. Hopefully the plan to extend Best of 2019/Decade happens so I can get this done.

I already removed a few categories because I don't want it to be too long. I will likely be extra lazy

with writeups and stuff at this point, too.

 

 

In the first half of this decade, I would only check out things that were popular and stay in my comfortable little bubble. Around 2014

is when I realized that top 40 music was on the decline so that made me venture into mostly alternative/indie/flop pop, which takes up

a good majority of what I listen to at this point. I also opened myself up to more serious, critically acclaimed movies that younger me

would've never touched (but don't worry, my taste is still a mess!) Both of these sides will be fighting in the following categories:

I enjoyed Suicide squad, it kinda works as a comedy film, Harley Quinn and the guy who burns things are pretty cool, also don't get how you hated John Wick (the first one is the weakest of the franchise tho)

I agree with Downsizing, it was a huge letdown

Despacito was complete trash, I don't get how it got to be so huge

Havana, Señorita & Cheeleader don't deserve to be on that list

Right  Both had nice main casts and gave them some weak material to work with. Downsizing had a good first half at least.

It's so sad how it turned out... those trailers were so incredible, some of my all-time favorites, then they gave us the whole thing and...

It could've made my "top" 3 for sure but I only wanted to include movies I've seen in full. I think Anne will be fine, plus it's not like a ton of people saw The Hustle anyway.

I don't know, there's something about it that I've never enjoyed at all, even though I love similar songs. Honestly I barely remember it as well, but when I read the title a little shiver went down my spine so that's gotta mean something!

Right  Cameron Diaz really made some heavily questionable decisions in 2014 before retiring.

Yep  150 was my original plan but it was too hard to exclude my HMs.

I loved the first 2 parts of the trilogy but I was so bored with TDKR, and I didn't even find myself caring about most of the characters.  I don't really see that changing with a rewatch.
