Bubble Tea Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 On one hand I detect taste - but on the other hand these tracks are punched out in the first 15 which is a mess... Tove Lo, GOD-TIER "Cross You Out", that Ari song, "White Mercedes" and "motivation" all are like top 30 quality. Stan Madame X though. We love the queen of pop launching into a new innovative and genre-bending career phase.

We love the queen of pop launching into a new innovative and genre-bending career phase. I will give you Motivation, that was a song that I did dirty for some reason. It is great! As for the others, I do like them but in comparison to the songs higher on my list, they are placed correctly. And which Ari song?

witness1.3 Posted January 3, 2020 Author Posted January 3, 2020 Spoiler I still have absolutely no idea what Tove is saying in this song but girl I am living! Spoiler The fact a song that only peaked at #26 in 2019 was able to make it this high on a year-end list. I love the play on words with this song, another reason why Kacey is a genius Spoiler Farewell Tequlia so long margarita is such a catchy line I love how it rolls off the tongue. We did Bebe dirty by not supporting this. Spoiler Yes this song has a music video so it counts. The fact its only a minute long was criminal, but at the same time I don’t think I would have survived a longer version. I think I cry every time I listen to this. I did not realize that this forum closes on January 7th, so the next 3 days will include updates for Singles, Albums, and Artists. I wish I looked at the rules first because I would have started earlier

Kevin2803 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Torn is one of Ava's best singles "Icy" was kinda snubbed on my countdown. I really started to like the after the music video, but somehow, it never made it into my top 50. 7 rings, tu,n & breathin are classics All The Time is a little too low tho
JGibson Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Small Talk + ME! + Juice + Truth Hurts + Doin' Time
witness1.3 Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Spoiler This is easily Dua Lipa’s best song so far. After 200 plays, I can see myself listening to it for another 800, on repeat. If the song was released earlier in the year, Don’t Start Now could have been #2. Future Nostalgia is another excellent track, and I have a feeling that her next album will be my most played album of 2020. 2 Spoiler All the pop songs Ellie released this year were great, but none of them were fantastic. Sixteen has an Anywhere-esque vocal chops drop and cute lyrics. If it didn’t have Ellie’s name attached to it, it probably would not even been in the Top 20 though. 1 Spoiler Katy served in 2019, and this bubbling under smasha deserved at the very least a #86-OUT moment. This should have been the follow up to Never Really Over’s hype. Spoiler Once again, another song that is only present because of a certain artist’s name attached to it. I was pleasantly surprised by this remix though. I loved how Katy was throughout the whole song, and the American Idol performance was great! 1 Spoiler I was disappointed at first by this song, but it grew on me immensely. It should have been #1 for several weeks if it wasn’t blocked by Never Really Over, You Need To Calm Down, and Icy. I’m so happy that the excellent music video earned a Grammy nomination! Thank you Tove for reminding us that we are glad that he's gone! Spoiler Another song I was initially disappointed by (what the hell was I thinking), but as time went on, I started to appreciate it. I think this is going to be my first dance song, now all I need to do is find a boyfriend. The first line always bothered me until Taylor recently said its meant to be mundane and now it makes sense. 2 Spoiler This song holds a special place in my heart. I had come out to my family coincidentally the same day Golden Hour came out. A couple hours after I came out, I was seeing all this buzz about Golden Hour on twitter and decided to give it a listen. When I got to Rainbow, I cried. The song could not have come out at a better time for me, literally. Also earlier this year, I witnessed one of my closest friends go through one of the darkest times of her life, and this song became a symbol for our friendship. Thank you Kacey for bringing this song into my life. Spoiler Put two of my faves together in a music video and it makes sense why YNTCD landed at #3 of my year-end chart. THE COLLAPSE! Besides that, I think this song is cleverly written and extremely catchy. 1 Spoiler The fact Katy was DELIVERING the pop classics this year and this is one of the many that was slept on. It’s simple for a Zedd track, but in a good way. The music video also deserved a grammy nomination like Glad He’s Gone did. Spoiler My favorite song of the year hands down, and possibly of all time. In my opinion, this is in Katy’s Top 10 best songs. The songwriting is just genius and the chorus is one of the catchiest hooks ever. Shakespeare and Mozart just weren’t doing it. The descending harmony in the second half of the chorus like.... look at the material. After flopping for two years, Katy proved to us that she still has IT (let's forget about the songs that followed though). I am a bit annoyed to see that the Best Of thread got extended a couple of weeks because I crammed my planned out updates into 3 large ones so I would finish on time, oh well! 2019 was a great year in music for me, and I'm happy to present to my Top 10 best of the year. Thanks to everyone who commented on my updates the past week, and I'll try my best to check out everyone's! I'll make sure to start a bit earlier for next year!

Where was the awards and acclaim? She released that Icy music video wayyyyyy too late. Zara was snubbed on my charts, All The Time should have been at least 20 places higher.
