what is that balance btw 20 good vs 12 non goods?
non-goods should be max 20-25% not 35%

you better cut 1-2 titans and 1 3p or smth

there's 20 town (good) and 8 mafia (non good)

 

the third party can either affect both (the serial killer, in this case, can kill both factions) or none at all (survivor aka achilles).

 

the other two, jester and three wishes, don't really affect drastically any of the factions, but they do make things messier.

 

also, we've had two games like this (role-madness) in the past few months, with the same amount of town/mafia/3p and in the first mafia won, and in the second town won.

well ye while technically 3p can affect both factions, but town still can only win when they eliminate all non-towns so they are against them
town can only mislynch like 3 times the way it is now then they lose pretty much, town should be allowed to have 4-5 mislynches and still be able to win

 

lets go for the worst case scenario for town (which isn't unlikely tho)
d1 town mislynches + 1 nightkill + 1 sk kill => day 2 17 goods vs 12 non-goods
d2 town mislynches + 1 nk + 1 sk = day 3 14 goods vs 12 goods
d3  town mislynches + 1 nk + sk = day 4 11 goods vs 12 non-goods

 

game basically over at this point

while i get what you're trying to say, you're not taking in count town's powers and abilities at all. and you're also still counting 3p as non-good, when that's not the case at all.

 

in town there are the roles of detective (they get to know another player's alignment), doctor (prevent another player from getting killed), vigilante (they get 4 shots to kill off mafia) and so on. All those are meant to benefit town. (check them out in the op)

 

So basically suppose y'all mislynch on d1 + the usual nightkill. eventually the other players need to kinda start using their powers to prevent kills/see who is guilty/ kill off the mafia.

but the evils have powers aswell, you even inlcuded that op triple-kill lol and town killing roles can also kill of towns, not like it is guaranteed to get an evil

The numbers are fine for a role madness, given the sheer amount of powers town have and the grayness of the 3P. This ratio have yielded mixed results on here and other sites for role madness games of similar format. It's more about the balance of the roles and how smart/dumb certain players are. I mean one role madness game the mafia pulled off three triple kills and still ultimately lost to Town.

 

And the game won't end if we dipped below 12 town (if all 12 non-town are alive) given that the Serial Killer will still be in play and the other three 3Ps still have to vote one way or another. There's also town roles like the reviver, doctor if they're lucky, and the triple voter which increase the actual town count to 22 unless they die early. The only way town lose so early if everyone just goes on auto-pilot for the first 5 Day Phases.
